Hello, I hope all my customers are well? We are not currently delivering firewood but it is all drying nicely in the barn and will be ready for this coming winter. Please wait for a couple of months for your delivery until we are a bit clearer on how the Coronavirus outbreak is developing. I'm avoiding unnecessary travel and keeping myself and others safe. Announcement on the burning of wet wood. I fully support the reduction of pollutants in the air. The only issue I have is that I dry wood over time using nothing but the air blowing through the barn which gets the wood to around 20-25% moisture content. If I have to get a kiln to remove the final 2/3% of moisture I would be burning softwood to produce the heat for the kiln, therefore adding carbon to the atmosphere. The price of the wood would also need to increase to allow for the cost of the kiln, and my time involved in the extra process.

Wood burning stoves and coal fires are the single largest sources of PM2.5

Another bespoke logstore ready for delivery. Top for hardwood for indoor fire and the bottom for softwood for outdoor fire. Softwood burns with more flame therefore more light.
