The Scratch Team did the business yesterday evening, coming through a tough quarter-final tie against Ramsey Golf and Bowls Club with a 4-2 victory in the CAGU - Cambridgeshire Area Golf Union Goddard Cup.

It was a real team effort from the lads, and that result now sets up a cracking semi-final clash right here at Girton on Monday 20th July, with a 5.30pm start.

Standing in the way will be St Neots Golf Club, who made short work of their own quarter final, dispatching Saffron Walden Golf Club 5-1. They will be no pushovers, but the home advantage is ours to use.

Come down and get behind the team if you can — these are the nights that make club golf special.

The Friends of Girton Golf Club and Created by Hill are the proud sponsors of the Scratch Team kit, and their support means a great deal to the club. When the lads pull on that shirt, they do so knowing there are people behind them who genuinely care about what this club represents.
