We have a new tool in the Make It Real workshop - a more powerful laser cutter and engraver. This will allow us to bring to life shaped objects like lettering, shims, spacers, cogs etc without using plastic. Initial tests are very successful although we ordered an air purifier which will serve two purposes: (a) stop the workshop permanently smelling of burning wood and (b) apparently give cut edges a better finish.

We were asked to design and manufacture a custom construction block piece for a Customer. This one is LEGO (other brands are available at all good toy stores).
You can buy a single sloped brick, but not with slopes on two elevations.
We designed, sliced and printed this on our AnyCubic resin printer to the complete satisfaction of our valued Customer.

We were lucky enough to be asked to restore and PAT test a vintage Anglepoise lamp today. Apart from the nostalgia of seeing it had a replacement switch from Woolworths (for 69p!) the neutral wire into the lamp holder was loose and had got very hot.
After a new cable, cleaning and successful test, delivered back to a delighted Customer same day.
