By working closely with our customers we are helping to divert textile material from landfill. Nathans Wastesavers operates over 3000 textile banks & 500 book banks across the UK. We work closely with local authorities to provide a range of banks designed to suit various sites both in urban and rural locations. Our continued expansion of the scheme is having a real impact on the amount of material
being diverted from landfill which is helping local authorities tough recycling targets. Over 200 people sort, grade and process over 600 tonnes of textile material every week. 1000’s of tonnes of clothing, shoes, household textiles & books are discarded and thrown away by the British public every year. These items can be re-used and recycled in developing nations in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. By re-using & recycling our unwanted items we are reducing the amount of material going to landfill which helps the UK’s strict recycling policies.
