WE’RE HIRING – CNC OPERATOR WITH WELDING SKILLS

HVL Solutions Ltd | Pinxton, Derbyshire

HVL Solutions is looking for an experienced CNC Operator with welding and fabrication skills to join our workshop team in Pinxton.

We provide specialist valve maintenance, repair and engineering services to the water and gas industries. This is a varied, hands-on role involving machining and fabrication to support our projects.

The role:

* Operate CNC machinery fitted with Siemens control systems.
* Manufacture components accurately from engineering drawings.
* Carry out welding and fabrication work.
* Inspect finished components to ensure they meet dimensional and quality requirements.
* Work closely with our engineering team to complete jobs safely and on time.
* Maintain machinery, tools and a tidy workshop.

What we’re looking for:

* Experience operating CNC machinery with Siemens controls.
* Practical welding and fabrication skills.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment.
* A strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

CNC setting and programming experience would be an advantage. Please include details of the welding processes you are experienced in when applying.

Pay and benefits:

* Negotiable wages, depending on skills and experience.
* 28 days’ holiday, including bank holidays.

What a fantastic week in Ireland, working alongside our valued customer to carry out critical air valve inspections, maintenance and exchanges across the water network.

Air valves play a vital role in maintaining pipeline efficiency and protecting essential infrastructure. Regular inspection and maintenance help ensure trapped air is released correctly, vacuum conditions are prevented, pressure surges are reduced and pipelines remain operating at their designed capacity.

Poorly maintained or failed air valves can contribute to reduced flow, increased pumping costs, pressure fluctuations, corrosion and, in severe cases, pipeline collapse or bursts.

By inspecting, servicing and replacing defective assets, we are helping to improve network performance, extend the operational life of the pipeline and reduce the risk of future failures. Another highly successful week delivered through technical expertise, collaboration and proactive asset maintenance. 🇮🇪💧

As our workload continues to grow across major water utility frameworks, planned maintenance programmes and 24/7 emergency response, we are looking for experienced people to strengthen our Southern operations.

We are recruiting for the following positions:

* Contracts Manager – Southern Region
* Site Supervisor – Repair & Maintenance
* Repair & Maintenance Engineers / Teams

Previous water industry experience is preferred, although experienced mechanical engineers with the right attitude and transferable skills will also be considered.

Before commissioning any pipeline, it is essential to ensure that every component is correctly installed, inspected, and ready for service.

It was a pleasure to assist our customer with the replacement of these heavily corroded fl**ge bolts. Applying the correct torque to every bolt is crucial to achieving an even gasket load and ensuring a leak-free seal.

Having the correct hydraulic torque equipment on site enabled our engineers to tighten the fl**ge accurately and safely. Not only does this equipment apply the precise torque required, but it also records the torque data, providing full traceability and verification that the joint has been assembled to the required specification.

As part of the works, the existing air valves were also replaced with new units, helping to improve the long-term reliability and performance of the network.

Another successful project completed safely, professionally, and to the highest engineering standards by the HVL Solutions team.
