As well as supporting a number of artists in my day to day role as a Virtual Assistant, over the past few years I have also stepped into their wonderful world myself with my botanical castings.

I was delighted to be invited to take part in this brand new arts trail coming to Ashbourne this Bank Holiday. ARTbourne promises to be a fabulous event full of creativity.. right in the heart of the beautiful market town of Ashbourne!

Taking place on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May 2026, over 100 artists and makers will pop up across in 20+ venues across the town including shops, cafés, churches and other unexpected spaces, creating a walkable trail you can explore at your own pace. If you love the Melbourne Festival, then this one will be right up your street.

A great funding opportunity for Derbyshire based Designer Makers! 🔽

⭐ Designer Maker Business Support – Photography Bursary Opportunity ⭐

Derbyshire Makes is pleased to announce the launch of the Create Growth Photography Bursary, to help build brand and product promotion of Derbyshire's growing Designer-Maker sector.

The bursary is available for Derby and Derbyshire Designer-Maker businesses and provides funding, up to a maximum of £800*, towards the cost of professional product photography fees. Businesses must have been trading more than one year and have an established product range.

Deadline for applications: 4 February
