“Dúchas” (meaning an innate sense of heritage, birthright, and a deep, instinctive belonging to one's native place and people) is constructed from individually kiln-fused glass elements layered into circular forms. Through repetition and accumulation, each piece retains traces of its making, creating a material archive of place, memory and time. Inspired by Ireland’s architectural and archaeological heritage, the sculptures explore continuity, transformation and belonging. Light, transparency and texture evoke shifting perceptions, revealing how landscapes and memories are shaped over time.
