Enterprise North West

A huge thank you to everyone from the North West Community Wealth Building Partnership, Donegal and Larne who joined us for our study visit to The Workspace Group in Draperstown on Wednesday.

For over 40 years, The Workspace Group has provided a masterclass in community-led economic development. Seeing firsthand how a social enterprise can take local challenges and transform them into sustainable commercial ventures and then reinvest its profits back into community projects, facilities, and local regeneration is always inspiring 👏

From creating jobs to driving long-term economic resilience, their work proves what’s possible when community wealth building is put into practice.

Thank you to Enda, Georgina and the Workspace team for hosting us, sharing their journey, and demonstrating the lasting power of social impact! 💡

Registration is now open for the 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲-𝗨𝗽: 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 event, which will take place in the city on Friday, 16 October.

Social value is a key focus of the North West Community Wealth Building Partnership, and we are keen to build on the work of our social value working group, which we established in partnership with Derry City & Strabane District Council and other key stakeholders.

This event will bring together perspectives from policy, procurement and industry to explore what social value means for businesses, communities and other stakeholders, and how it can translate into meaningful outcomes for communities. It will also consider how to maximise the social value created through investment in local construction.

Building bridges from the North West to Cleveland, Ohio!☘️

Last week, the North West Community Wealth Building Partnership hosted a roundtable at the newly community-owned St Columb's Hall to explore how the world-renowned 'Cleveland Model' aligns with our local Community Wealth Building vision.

Special thanks to Mark Owens (Team NEO), for leading the delegation, Clare McGee ( ) for facilitating, and Anne-Marie Gallagher (St Columb's Hall Project Director) for guiding us through such an inspiring venue.

In a few weeks, our team will head to Ohio to meet with The Democracy Collaborative and key regional stakeholders to build lasting international partnerships between anchor institutions.
