Now Hiring – Care Coordinator

Job description
We have an opportunity for a passionate and experienced Care Coordinator to join our Dewsbury team. As the Care Coordinator you will be a role model for Support Workers and Senior Support Workers and will assist the Manager to lead, motivate and manage the Service to a high standard. This position will involve a mixture of shift work and supporting the Service Manager in the office.
Responsibilities:
• Ensuring that employees protect the rights and promote the interests of the people we support
• Writing and managing Care Plans and Risk Assessments
• Ensuring the service is CQC compliant whilst working closely with local authorities
• Carrying out audits, risk assessments and reviews
• Rota management
• Monitoring sickness levels and carrying out back to work meetings
• Assist with the recruitment process
• Conduct staff supervisions and put together action plans
• Carry out spot checks on services and ensure services are maintained to a high standard
• Money checks and logging correctly
• Support staff to complete the induction process including observations and training needs
• Conduct monthly supervisions with staff team and keep accurate records on file
• Provide training and development opportunities to enable Social Care Workers to strengthen and develop their skills and knowledge
• Support and encourage team members
• Monitor staffing levels and ensure adequate staffing are in place
• To facilitate good communication within all levels of the staff team
• To manage on call on a week on and week off basis
• To maintain all Health and Safety precautions
• To carry out on-call responsibilities
Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Senior Support Worker/Manager or similar
• Able to lead and motivate a team
• The ability to work a variety of shifts and work in an office environment
• Ability to participate in on call rota
• Strong communication skills
• Full, clean driving licence

• Dealing with telephone and email enquiries.

• Organising a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel etc.
• To produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases.
• Devising and maintaining office systems;
• Booking rooms and conference facilities;
• Using content management systems to maintain and update websites and internal databases;
• Attending meetings, taking minutes and keeping notes;
• Liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts;

• Liaising with colleagues and external contacts to book care shifts and interviews.
• Organising and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information;

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the organisation which is relevant to your post within the company to meet the overall business objectives. Full training will be given.
