The sales process doesn’t stop when your client has signed the contract!

When you have a brand-new client, your onboarding process is an essential part of your sales process.

You need to make a good impression, set out the expectations and boundaries and orientate them on what’s going to happen. Communication at this delicate time is critical.

If you need to disappear for a reason, maybe to crack on with their strategy for example, tell them that.

If you don’t always have your emails on and prefer to be contacted by WhatsApp – let them know!

I have seen deals lost during this crucial time, even with a signed contract, and you worked so hard to get them to this point.

And even when you have your lovely new client embedded into your business, the sales process is still ongoing.

Most of our business comes through referrals, which we are super grateful for.

Our brilliant members love to shout about how great it is being a part of this community and the difference we make in their business.

You need your clients to be doing the same.

There is nothing more powerful than a referral to generate more sales.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed right now?

One of the themes that has come up with many of our clients is feeling like they are doing the jobs of many.

This is common for small business owners.

The whole business often relies on you and, for many of you, you are the business.

As we’ve said many times before, running a business will amplify how you feel.

If this is you right now, here are four things that you can do:

1️⃣ Stop beating yourself up! It’s tough for many business owners right now and running a business is hard. Be kind and compassionate to yourself and use nicer words.

2️⃣ Acknowledge your achievements. Our brains are wired to spot the negatives. Take time to look at everything you have achieved and are achieving on a daily basis. Look at any positive feedback you have from clients and note all the little things that happen that are good.

3️⃣ Look after your self-esteem. Self-esteem is like armour. When you have high self-esteem, criticism bounces off you. When it’s low, you are more sensitive to everything going on around you. 4️⃣ Make a plan. Start getting everything down on paper, make a list and prioritise what needs to be done, then focus on one thing at a time, staying in the present moment. Turn off notifications and alerts to help you concentrate and be disciplined about opening emails and social media.

Just blowing our own trumpet - we’re finalists for another customer service award 🎉🎉 🍾

This means the world to us and the BBB team, as we all pride ourselves on the standard of service we give to our members.

We support our members from navigating the panic to celebrating the wins. We live for the messages about how they’ve hit their goals or had the best month ever. We know our members personally, and we support them through it all.

It doesn’t happen by chance, it’s carefully and meticulously planned that way.

We are selective about who we work with, which means we can maintain our standards of cultivated amazing groups and – we may be being biased – but we have some of the most talented people in the UK in our membership 🥰

So, getting shortlisted for this award is recognition of all of our team efforts and the brilliant members we have.

Mindset is a big part of running a business and it’s too easy to overlook.

That’s why we're so impressed by what Kim Hughes has achieved since joining BBB.

Her mindset has been transformed and that’s also meant looking at other areas of her business, including pricing.

Kim moved from day-rates to outcome-based pricing and is now charging what her services are worth.

As Kim says: “I don't even recognise myself any more. There are conversations I have now that still surprise me.”

We love it when we bring all of our members together. 😍

These are such special events and people make the journey from across the UK because they know how much they’ll get from being there, meeting other business owners, and talking to people they don’t usually see.

Lots of friendships have been made in BBB but also a lot of collaborations and one of the things that makes me most proud, is how everyone welcomes in the new members. 🤗

No one is sat on their own at these events.

Everyone makes the effort to talk to members outside of their groups.

Plus, the content we share at these events sets everyone up for the coming months.

Our next one is the Big Kick-Off in January, and we can’t wait.
