Running a business single handily is hard. However, I have the most amazing team C&H Cleaning Company and the weekly support for like minded members of EGGS Networking Diss who have given support, advise and encouragement when things go not so well, and commend the achievements.

🥚 Another brilliant Friday morning with our EGGS business family!

We had a great meeting at The Park Hotel this morning and were delighted to welcome our guest Craig Bennett from Poppy Consulting Services, who provides HR, management coaching and training support to businesses across our area. 👥

Our 10-minute presentation came from new member Ashley at AR Smart Tech Solutions – and it was a real eye-opener! 💻

Ashley talked about just how much time business owners can lose to admin. He shared an estimate of around 11 hours a week – the equivalent of 12 working weeks a year!

So what if technology could give you back just 25% of that time? That's potentially three extra weeks a year to spend growing your business, looking after customers – or simply doing something other than admin!

Ashley creates bespoke apps for businesses that can help manage data, streamline processes and bring owners, managers, teams and customers together in one place.

He's already been working with the EGGS team on an app for our members, as well as fellow member Perdee from C&H Cleaning Company , creating a bespoke solution to help manage diaries, rotas, bookings and finances.

And the timing couldn't be better… next Friday it's Perdee's turn to give our 10-minute presentation, and she'll be showing us the app in action alongside telling us more about her business. 👏

We also heard from Mark, a volunteer with East Anglian Air Ambulance Charity, about our special EGGS birthday meeting on Friday 13th November. 🎂 We already have more than 13 visitors from businesses across Norfolk and Suffolk joining us!

🥚 Great EGGS Networking meeting this morning at the Park Hotel!

How often do you get the chance to hear the real story behind a local business?

Today it was Joey from Spall’s Garage's turn to deliver his 10-minute Spotlight Talk – one of the best parts of our meetings. The spotlight gives members the opportunity to share their business journey, their passions, and sometimes even the community or charity work that matters to them.

Joey shared how his passion for Land Rovers started at just 11 years old, when he decided he wanted a career working with them.

He began his journey with local independent specialist Mark Peacock Land Rovers, before gaining experience at three other garages. Eventually he took the leap and started his own business – Spalls Garage.

While Joey and the team work on a wide range of vehicles, Land Rovers are his true passion, and his goal is simple:

👉 To become the go-to name for Land Rover expertise in the area.
You could say he’s on a mission to become “Mr Land Rover” in Suffolk!

We had a great EGGS networking meeting this morning at the Park Hotel—finishing off a sunny week at last! ☀️

It was another strong session filled with referrals and thank yous. Personal recommendations are such a powerful way to grow your business—being able to say “I know someone who can help” really does make all the difference.

But it’s not just about referrals. These meetings are a chance to really understand each other’s businesses.

Today, Trevor from shared a great insight into their work—from stable conversions to windows, doors, and creating beautiful, functional indoor spaces tailored to clients’ needs.

We also had our Top Tip slot, with Ellena from Ulric Web Design Limited highlighting the importance of Google reviews. They’re simple, free, and incredibly effective for boosting your website rankings—just share your link with clients and let Google do the rest!

Such a great morning ! Thank goodness we are all experts in our fields, as Christmas quizzes are really not our forte!!
