Group member Sasa Marketing are running another of their successful Marketing Events helping business owners take the stress out of planning and creating content.

Led by marketing expert Catherine Bowyer from Sasa Marketing and Sharna Pratchett from Virtual Ease VA, this hands-on workshop is designed to help you create a practical 12-month marketing plan for your business and show you how to bring it to life using tools such as ChatGPT and Canva.

Today we are incredibly proud to see Street First Aid featured in the East Anglian Daily Times.

Our mission is simple: to give young people, communities, businesses, and organisations the knowledge and confidence to act in those critical moments when someone’s life may depend on it.
Through emergency first aid education, serious bleeding control training, and the promotion of publicly accessible bleed control equipment, we are working to build safer and more resilient communities.

But we can’t do it alone.

Here’s how YOU can help.

We’re looking for:
🏫 A secondary school willing to become one of our first Bleed Control Community Hubs.
🍽️ A pub, restaurant, late-night café, or hospitality venue in your town that wants to make a real difference.
🚍 Transport operators, community centres, sports clubs, and local businesses who want to be part of the solution.

💜 We’re also inviting local businesses to sponsor or co-sponsor a Community Hub.

For around £1,000, a Community Hub can be equipped with multiple bleed control kits and supported with emergency bleed control training for staff, volunteers, and young people. Businesses can choose to fully fund a hub or collaborate with other local organisations to sponsor part of the project.

Whether you’re a small independent business, a larger employer, or part of a local business network, your support could directly help place life-saving equipment and training where it is needed most.

Our goal is to create Bleed Control Community Hubs across the region, providing training, equipment, and awareness so that when the unthinkable happens, there are people nearby who know exactly what to do.

Another fantastic EGGS Networking meeting this week at The Park Hotel, with our member presentation from Matt at Howes Carpentry.

Matt shared how Howes Carpentry designs, supplies and installs bespoke kitchens, bedrooms and fitted furniture, creating spaces that are tailored to each client's home, lifestyle and needs. From kitchen islands and larder cupboards to fitted wardrobes and home storage solutions, every project is made to measure, with no "one size fits all" approach.

One particularly useful insight was the importance of allowing the correct airflow around integrated appliances such as fridges, freezers, dishwashers and cookers. Getting this wrong can impact performance and even invalidate warranties, highlighting the value of working with experienced professionals like Howes from the start.

Matt also showcased the wide range of styles, finishes and colours available, from classic shaker kitchens to elegant in-frame designs. Clients can view CAD drawings before installation and even see their chosen colour on an actual door sample, helping them visualise the finished result with confidence.

The craftsmanship, attention to detail and personal service that Howes Carpentry provides were clear to see, with some truly stunning examples of completed kitchens and bedrooms shared with the group.

A special mention too for Solfest, supporting the . Both Alex and Mark highlighted this fantastic event.

Street First Aid is looking for a current or recently retired secondary school teacher to support us in developing a practical training course designed specifically for secondary school staff.

The aim is to create a short, accessible programme that helps teachers and school staff respond confidently to:

🩸 Life-threatening bleeding emergencies
🚑 Medical emergencies involving young people
🏫 Incidents that may occur within a secondary school environment
👥 The immediate actions staff can take before emergency services arrive

We are seeking someone who can help us ensure the course content, lesson structure, guidance, and supporting resources are relevant, realistic, and appropriate for the school setting.

As a small social enterprise, we are unfortunately unable to offer payment for this support. However, contributors will be fully acknowledged and credited within the final product and associated resources where appropriate.

This is an opportunity to help create a resource that could support schools across the UK and potentially contribute to better outcomes when a serious incident occurs.

A warm welcome to Andy (and Gary) from GLANtech SOLAR, Andy specialises in the supply and installation of solar PV systems, and we're looking forward to seeing them become regular members of the group.

This week's member spotlight was Perdee, who shared her inspiring business journey from running in pubs and racing lorries to establishing a successful cleaning business with C&H Cleaning Company .
