One of the highlights of Friday's EGGS Networking meeting wasn't just the breakfast, the business conversations or even the excellent presentation from Marsh Architects...

It was our very special young guest! 🥚👶

They sat and listened intently as members shared what they do, the businesses they run and the different industries represented around the room. From architects and renewable energy specialists to charities, accountants, web designers and more, there was certainly plenty to take in!

It got us thinking about how valuable it is for young people to be exposed to the huge variety of careers, skills and opportunities that exist within our local business community. Not everyone follows the same path, and hearing real business owners talk passionately about what they do is a great way to broaden horizons and spark ideas for the future.

Who knows – perhaps we've just welcomed a future entrepreneur, architect, engineer or business owner to their very first networking event! 😊

A big thank you to all our members for being so welcoming and helping make EGGS such a positive and supportive community.

What a fantastic EGGS networking meeting this morning at the Park Hotel! 🥚☕🌞

Thankfully, it was a little cooler than earlier in the week, making it the perfect start to a Friday packed with great conversations, new connections and plenty of positive energy.

It was wonderful to welcome back Mandy from Rope4Hope Hope, along with Ash from SOLAR , and we even had a special guest appearance from one of the younger members of the EGGS family! 👶🥚

This week's 10-minute presentation was delivered by Jordan from Marsh Architects, who gave us a great insight into the business and the services they provide. From home extensions and renovations to barn conversions and new-build projects up to £1.5m, Marsh Architects offer a fully tailored architectural service. Their attention to detail, hand-drawn concept sketches and immersive 3D visualisations help clients bring their ideas to life before work even begins. Even more impressive, their projects come entirely through recommendations and repeat business – a true reflection of the quality of their work.

As always, there was a real buzz in the room, with plenty of chat, laughter, support and encouragement between local businesses, all fuelled by a fantastic breakfast! 🍳🥓☕

If you'd like to start your Fridays surrounded by friendly, like-minded local business owners who genuinely want to see each other succeed, we'd love to welcome you as a visitor.

Another great meeting this morning at The Park Hotel for EGGS Networking! 🥚☕

It was lovely to welcome guest Gary from GLANtech SOLAR, who specialises in supplying and fitting solar panels, along with Neil who was standing in for Andy from Street First Aid and what a smile Neil brought to the room this morning! 😄

This week it was Jason’s turn to take centre stage and tell us all about the world of electrics. Jason, who heads up Excel Electrical Services , works with both residential and commercial clients across the region, providing installations, maintenance, PAT testing, fault finding and breakdown support for all things electrical.

One really important reminder from Jason was just how essential it is to stay on top of electrical maintenance. Faulty wiring can lead to serious issues, including fire risks — and in some cases could even impact insurance claims if systems haven’t been properly maintained.

Whether you’re a landlord, homeowner or business owner, Jason and the team at Excel Electrical can help keep your property safe, compliant and running smoothly ⚡

We’re also excited to say that plans are coming together for our very first EGGS Ladies Day event 👀✨ Keep an eye on our socials for more details, you won’t want to miss it!

If you’d like to connect with a welcoming group of local business owners from a wide range of sectors and industries, we’d love to hear from you.

Yes, business referrals are part of what we do — but EGGS is about so much more than that. Support, encouragement, collaboration and trusted relationships are at the heart of our group. Sometimes just having someone to turn to for advice, support or a fresh perspective can make all the difference in business.

We’re proud to be building a network full of experience, knowledge and genuinely supportive people.

If you’d like to come along as a visitor, just drop us a message — we’d love to meet you 😊

Wow — what a jam-packed meeting this morning! We had skipping challenges, first aid training and lots of laughter along the way!

A big welcome to our guests this week: Nathan from Anglian Demolition and Asbestos Ltd, Allan from Fuyu Services & Consultancy, who specialises in information security and data protection, and Charlie from Melbek Technology Ltd who joined us alongside Darren.

🩷Mandy from Rope4Hope came back to see us and somehow a skipping challenge was created! 🪢Safe to say it’s definitely not as easy as it looks, videos coming soon!

Rope4Hope have an event on 12th September and after today several of our members can confirm that skipping for a minute is much harder than it sounds!

Quick mention too for SolFest from Ellena and Alex, sponsor spaces are nearly full and marketing information will be shared soon, so watch this space. If you’re interested in sponsoring, please get in touch with Ellena at Ulric Web Design Limited.

This week Andy from Mini First Aid Norfolk and Street First Aid gave us a really informative session on bleed kits — what’s inside them, how to use them and even how to improvise if a kit isn’t available. Andy, a former military medic, now delivers first aid training and supports vulnerable people through Street First Aid. It was genuinely eye-opening and a reminder that those first few moments of action could save a life.❤️

Street First Aid have placed bleed kits across our town, and have a goal of getting them into fleet vehicles, pubs and entertainment venues throughout the region. At just £25 per kit, it’s a small cost that could make a huge difference. 💜

Mark C delivered our 5-minute training session this week and reminded us that with 25 people in the room, every member is a potential ambassador for each other’s businesses.

☕️His “PIG” (Professional Income Generator!) idea encouraged members to have more in-depth chats about what they do in a mini meeting — although we still couldn’t decide whether to call it EGGschange, Shell & Tell or Hatchlings!

The feedback from visitors today was brilliant:
“Never seen so much energy in a networking group this early in the morning!”
“It’s such a welcoming and friendly group.”
“It’s relaxed, fun and you don’t all take yourselves too seriously.”

😀That sums up EGGS perfectly. Yes, we help each other grow our businesses, but we also support one another through the ups and downs of business life, celebrate successes and create genuine connections.

If you’d like to come along and see what we’re all about, please get in touch — we’d love to welcome you along.

Looking forward to our EGGS networking meeting tomorrow! 🥚✨

We’re excited to welcome lots of guests again this week — including some returning for a second visit!

One of the best things about EGGS is meeting people from all different backgrounds, industries and stages of business. We love hearing about everyone’s successes and it’s always great when we can offer support, encouragement and advice too.

Where else do you get the opportunity to have 25+ local business owners giving you their full attention while you talk about your business, your services and what makes you different? It’s a fantastic platform to promote your skills, share your achievements and build meaningful connections.

But EGGS is about much more than referrals. It’s about community, support and confidence-building. A few weeks ago, Ellena and Stuart shared how the group has helped them grow in confidence — whether that’s standing up to speak in front of a room or talking to prospective clients one-to-one.

Stepping outside your comfort zone can feel daunting, but we pride ourselves on creating a friendly, fun and supportive environment that helps people grow both personally and professionally.

If you’d like to connect with a wide range of local business owners and start your Friday morning in a positive and productive way, we’d love to hear from you!

Alex also gave a shout out about an up and coming event on 27th June in Wortwell called Solfest. Ellena will be performing alongside other artists and a share of any profits made will go to the East Anglian Air Ambulance Charity so look out for this event coming on socials soon – 27th June Wortwell!

Great to welcome Al Grayson from DISS BJJ as a guest speaker, who gave us a fantastic insight into how he has built a supportive and inclusive community through martial arts, fitness and wellbeing.

Based at Diss Squash Club, Diss BJJ offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (or grappling, who knew!), combat fitness, sports massage and injury prevention, helping people with fitness, rehabilitation and confidence building. Classes are available for adults, women only sessions and children aged 5–15.

As an ex-military professional, Al spoke about the importance of belonging and community and what community means, and how he wanted to create that same supportive environment for others — whether people train once a week, compete regularly or simply come along to be part of the group.

We also heard about his exciting new venture — a wood-fired sauna company launching up the Heywood soon! 🔥

Its great to have so many guests and we couldn’t agree more with Al’s comments on the meaning of community. At EGGS we know we provide a welcoming and supportive environment to help perople and their businesses grow and thrive.

If you would like to be part of a growing network of local business owners then please do get in touch! Why not come along and see what it’s all about.

📩Drop us a message to find out more — we’d love to meet you.
