Wow — what a jam-packed meeting this morning! We had skipping challenges, first aid training and lots of laughter along the way!
A big welcome to our guests this week: Nathan from Anglian Demolition and Asbestos Ltd, Allan from Fuyu Services & Consultancy, who specialises in information security and data protection, and Charlie from Melbek Technology Ltd who joined us alongside Darren.
🩷Mandy from Rope4Hope came back to see us and somehow a skipping challenge was created! 🪢Safe to say it’s definitely not as easy as it looks, videos coming soon!
Rope4Hope have an event on 12th September and after today several of our members can confirm that skipping for a minute is much harder than it sounds!
Quick mention too for SolFest from Ellena and Alex, sponsor spaces are nearly full and marketing information will be shared soon, so watch this space. If you’re interested in sponsoring, please get in touch with Ellena at Ulric Web Design Limited.
This week Andy from Mini First Aid Norfolk and Street First Aid gave us a really informative session on bleed kits — what’s inside them, how to use them and even how to improvise if a kit isn’t available. Andy, a former military medic, now delivers first aid training and supports vulnerable people through Street First Aid. It was genuinely eye-opening and a reminder that those first few moments of action could save a life.❤️
Street First Aid have placed bleed kits across our town, and have a goal of getting them into fleet vehicles, pubs and entertainment venues throughout the region. At just £25 per kit, it’s a small cost that could make a huge difference. 💜
Mark C delivered our 5-minute training session this week and reminded us that with 25 people in the room, every member is a potential ambassador for each other’s businesses.
☕️His “PIG” (Professional Income Generator!) idea encouraged members to have more in-depth chats about what they do in a mini meeting — although we still couldn’t decide whether to call it EGGschange, Shell & Tell or Hatchlings!
The feedback from visitors today was brilliant:
“Never seen so much energy in a networking group this early in the morning!”
“It’s such a welcoming and friendly group.”
“It’s relaxed, fun and you don’t all take yourselves too seriously.”
😀That sums up EGGS perfectly. Yes, we help each other grow our businesses, but we also support one another through the ups and downs of business life, celebrate successes and create genuine connections.
If you’d like to come along and see what we’re all about, please get in touch — we’d love to welcome you along.
