What a brilliant moment for AmbiSpace, and a huge shout‑out to Kevin Wheatley, Luke from @.yorkshire and Richard Kearsley, who went above and beyond to install the Sensory Nook that Willow Primary School proudly won in last year’s Primary School Enterprise Challenge (PSEC) Finals.

Their teamwork, care and dedication turned the installation into something truly special. Every member of the crew brought their best, ensuring the school received a calming, high‑quality space that will support students for years to come. We really do have an amazing team at AmbiSpace, and this project is another reminder of the passion they bring to every school we work with.

Why Do Sensory Nooks Matter?

Our Sensory Nooks provide a safe, enclosed and calming environment for individuals with sensory needs, especially those within the neurodivergent community.

This Year’s PSEC Prize

We’re excited to share that the prize for this year’s PSEC Finals is even bigger, a full sensory room designed and built by AmbiSpace. We can’t wait to see which school will take home this life‑changing space.

Celebrating our team, celebrating inclusion, and celebrating the schools who work so hard to support their students. This is what AmbiSpace is all about.

Abbie is one of those rare people whose authenticity, lived experience, and compassion make an immediate impact, and at AmbiSpace, she has become a powerful voice for why sensory‑inclusive environments matter.

As someone with her own sensory needs, Abbie brings a depth of understanding that no brochure or technical spec could ever match. When she talks about the Sensory Nooks, she doesn’t just describe a product, she shares what it feels like to finally have a space where your nervous system can breathe. Her passion helps people understand the difference a quiet, enclosed, calming environment can make for those in the neurodivergent community.

Abbie regularly supports the marketing team, explaining how a Sensory Nook offers a safe retreat in busy educational or public settings. Whether someone needs a moment to regulate, a quiet corner to study, a space for one‑to‑one support, or simply somewhere to chat with a friend without sensory overwhelm, Abbie can bring these scenarios to life with clarity and warmth.

Her enthusiasm is contagious. People connect with her because she speaks from experience, and that experience helps others feel seen, understood, and supported. It’s one thing to talk about inclusion; it’s another to embody it. Abbie does exactly that.

Thanks to the work with do at Ambispace, more people are discovering how sensory spaces can transform everyday environments into places where everyone can thrive.

We’re incredibly proud to have Abbie as part of the AmbiSpace team, championing accessibility, empowerment, and the belief that everyone deserves a space where they feel safe and regulated.

We’re excited to share our interview featuring Miss Malloy, a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant at Windhill Primary School. In the video, Miss Malloy speaks passionately about how brilliantly the students engaged with the , which is run by Paul Robson. From teamwork to creativity, the pupils showed exceptional skill as they worked together to design their own sensory spaces, themed around the four seasons.

Miss Malloy also shared how much it would mean to the school if they won a fully designed and built Sensory Room by AmbiSpace, a space that would make a life‑changing difference to their neurodivergent learners.

Windhill Primary School continues to impress with its commitment to inclusion. Their staff go above and beyond to support neurodivergent students, creating an environment where every child feels understood, valued, and able to thrive.

Sensory rooms play a vital role in helping neurodivergent people regulate, reset, and feel safe. At AmbiSpace, we’re proud to not only support these spaces but to empower the neurodivergent community through thoughtful design, advocacy, and collaboration.

Here’s to Windhill Primary School, their amazing students, staff, and the power of inclusive education, in Doncaster and beyond!

The Doncaster Council Remake Learning opening event, Night at the Museum, turned the Danum Gallery, Library and Museum into a lively space filled with creativity and hands‑on learning. The evening was opened by Sean Fearn, Learning Manager for Doncaster Council, who welcomed families to a programme designed to inspire children through interactive experiences.

A highlight of the night was the collaboration between Doncaster Library and the National Literacy Trust, who provided free books, literacy activities, and live readings. Catherine Timbers from the National Literacy Trust and Tracy Callision from Doncaster Library worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly, showcasing their dedication to children’s literacy.

Across the museum, Carrick Holdsworth, Learning Officer at DGLAM, introduced children to 3D printing, explaining how quickly the technology is advancing and the valuable IT and problem‑solving skills it can teach. Visitors like Hannah and her daughter Dahlia said they attended to explore learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

AmbiSpace Ltd also supported the event with their popular sensory igloo, staffed by experienced team members offering guidance and answering questions. Families responded warmly: Charlotte and her children said the igloo was the perfect space for anyone feeling overwhelmed, while Ella Green and her autistic son Tommy enjoyed the experience and hoped to see more support for neurodivergent people. Zara, Ryley, and their family described it as “absolutely great,” and Seven Studios The Don praised the clear benefits it brought to the evening.

The event highlighted the power of community collaboration, with organisations, educators, and local businesses coming together to offer children a fresh, engaging approach to learning. The positive atmosphere reflected the hard work and planning put in by Doncaster Council and its partners.

It was brilliant visiting Intec Office Systems Ltd today and being warmly welcomed by Stuart Thompson, Tim Wagstaff, and Debbie Griffin. We managed to look around their showroom again, and yes, I’m still very tempted by those incredible green office chairs, the back support is 100%.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to our proposal about becoming a sponsor for the 2026 PSEC × AmbiSpace Ltd Finals Day on 16th June at Cast Doncaster. We truly appreciated your support and guidance about this growing community event.

Once again, moments like this remind me how important it is for great Doncaster businesses to support one another. Open communication, collaboration, and shared values are the foundation of any healthy business relationship and today was a perfect example of that in action.

If any other Doncaster based business would like to explore the event further, contact us to hear more about PSEC Finals Day sponsorships and to learn more about AmbiSpace’s community work.
