GeoAccess Ltd UAV pilots Rob Fisher and Jack Spencer round off the 2021 flying season with a series of power transmission tower inspections near Poole. Utilising the DJI Matrice 210RTK and Zenmuse Z30 camera with x30 optical zoom, we were able to stand off at a safe distance from each tower and still obtain close-up images of various critical elements. While predominantly an inspection camera, the Z30 does have it's moments as we caught the sunset on our final day.

The GeoAccess General Manager for UAV Operations has been busy working out on solar farms aka "photovoltaic power stations" this past week, collecting both radiometric thermal and RGB footage of PV panels for our client.

This enables the client to perform an in-depth analysis of the solar arrays to identify defects and issues in the system that manifest themselves as hot spots.

If you are interested in talking with us about our UAV capabilities, payloads and varying platforms please make contact via [email protected]

Mark Coleman, David Frost and the rest of the team at GeoAccess are extremely excited to announce that we have been awarded the Network Rail Framework Agreement - Civils Examination Services - Geotech, for both the Western Region and the Southern Region.
This should keep a very proud SME incredibly busy for the next few years.
We are looking forward to beginning work with the Regional and Route based teams from July 1st.
All this on top of a very successful first year in Wales.

Three very different aspects of the Victoria Tunnel: Ouseburn Trust explored using our Flyability confined space inspection drone. It includes a section converted to a storm drain by Northumbrian Water in the 1970s and the steps leading to and from the former air-raid shelter entrance at St Thomas Church when the tunnel was used during WW2. Our thanks to the Ouseburn Trust for allowing access.
