Today we're celebrating Caroline Thompson's first anniversary with Sycon Contracts!

As Operations Manager, Caroline plays a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently, supporting both our clients and our team every step of the way.

Before joining Sycon Contracts, Caroline spent 17 years working in the manufacture and installation of play areas, building extensive experience in project delivery, operations, and customer service.

Outside of work, Caroline enjoys spending quality time with her family, gardening, socialising with friends, and taking her dog, Barney, on adventures.

Thank you, Caroline, for your hard work, dedication, and positive contribution over the past year. We're delighted to have you as part of the Sycon Contracts team and look forward to many more successful years ahead.

At Sycon, we specialise in delivering high-quality solutions across many different sectors, creating safe, compliant, and efficient environments for our clients. The success of our projects is built on the dedication of our team.

Having been part of Sycon for just over two years, Mark Robinson has established himself as a dependable and hardworking member of the team. Bringing a strong range of practical skills, Mark is First Aid, PASMA and PAT Tester trained — making him a key support across our sites.

Mark is known for his positive attitude and strong work ethic, consistently contributing to the smooth and safe delivery of our projects while upholding the high standards we expect at Sycon.

Away from work, Mark is a keen football fan and spends much of his weekends at football with his two sons, Jack and Charlie. He also enjoys getting outdoors with his two Jack Russell’s, Billy and Annie, and regularly goes clay pigeon shooting with friends. When it comes to food, Chinese and Mexican are his top choices.

We’re pleased to have Mark on the team and look forward to seeing his continued progress with Sycon.

Today, we are proud to present Damon Godber, one of our dedicated Site Supervisors. ⭐

Damon began his career in construction with background in joinery, developing strong hands-on experience on the tools before progressing into a supervisory role. This practical foundation gives him a great understanding of the day-to-day realities of site work. 👷‍♂️ 🔧 🪚

Having joined the Sycon team six months ago, Damon has quickly become a valued member of our workforce. In his role, he oversees projects at site level, working closely with both our site teams and office staff to ensure programmes run smoothly and projects are delivered on schedule. 📈

Outside of work, Damon is a big supporter on Mansfield Town F.C. and enjoys attending games with his son. Weekends are often spent getting out for walks with his cockapoo, Daisy, alongside his girlfriend Emma. ⚽ 🐶 👨‍👩‍👦

Were proud to have Damon as part of the Sycon team and look forward to seeing him continue to grow with the company for many years to come. 👏

This January, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity celebrated their first successful Christmas tree recycling campaign. 🎄

They asked our client at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, IHP (Vinci Building) for volunteers and Sycon Contracts were more than happy to help as part of their team. VINCI Building UK 🆘

Our collection route took us around Bassetlaw and Doncaster properties collecting over 45 Christmas Trees ready for recycling. 🎄

Hearts& Hooves Rescue Centre CIC agreed to take the Christmas Trees, they were to be passed onto their amazing animals, upon arriving we met ‘Timmy’ the sheep and his friends, they were so excited to receive their festive treats and couldn’t wait to tuck in. 🐑 🐏

This event was a fantastic initiative bringing sustainability, community, and kindness together, one that Sycon was more than happy to assist with. 👏

A huge thank you to the businesses working on our new Department of Critical Care at Doncaster Royal Infirmary - Sycon Contracts Ltd, VINCI, NG Bailey and Moortown Group - who came together today to make a generous festive donation to our Paediatric Department. A lovely example of businesses coming together to support our youngest patients ❤️
