📢 WE’RE RECRUITING!

G&M Consulting is looking for an experienced Geotechnical/Geo-environmental Engineer to join our friendly team in Doncaster through a mix of hybrid and on-site work.

The role will involve managing a variety of projects, including:

✅ Planning and supervising site investigations
✅ Soil and rock logging to BS5930
✅ Geotechnical and environmental assessments
✅ Preparation of technical reports
✅ Foundation, mining and remediation recommendations
✅ Liaising with clients, contractors and regulators

The ideal candidate will have at least three to five years’ relevant experience, strong technical and report-writing skills, and the confidence to manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion.

G&M Consulting is an independent consultancy established in 2003. We offer a varied workload, a supportive working environment and the opportunity to play an important role in the continued growth of the company.

Amelia, who G&M helped support through the Burhouse Bursary is doing amazing things.. Both in the pool and extra curricular. Incredible effort and commitment to her swimming journey. Well done Amelia! 👏

🌟 Burhouse Bursary Success Story – Congratulations, Amelia! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to share an update on Amelia Sheil, one of our Burhouse Bursary recipients, who continues to achieve remarkable success both in and out of the pool.

Most recently, Amelia reached the finals of the English National Swimming Championships at Ponds Forge in Sheffield, where she delivered an outstanding performance in the 200m Breaststroke, recording a lifetime best of 2:49.28. This fantastic achievement places her among the fastest swimmers of her age in the UK.

Away from competition, Amelia is equally committed to giving back. She is:
🏊 Supporting younger swimmers as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Award.
⏱️ Qualified as a Swim Timekeeper and Poolside Assistant, helping at her swimming club.
🛡️ Working with Swim England on a youth advisory group focused on safeguarding.
⭐ Recently awarded her Scouts Gold Award.

Amelia's dedication, work ethic and willingness to support others embody everything the Burhouse Bursary aims to encourage.

We're delighted that our support is helping Amelia pursue her dreams, and we can't wait to see what she achieves next.

Last night, the team at G&M were proud sponsors of the Burhouse Construction Bursary. During the evening we saw bursary money given to extremely talented young people, and we were grateful and humbled to sponsor two incredibly talented and worthy recipients. A huge shout out to incredible job the team at Burhouse are doing to help talented young people from all around the country!
