I know the ITV drama Mr Bates vs The post office is a tough watch, but please continue to support your local post office. Your local postmasters are still struggling and need your custom more than ever. They are only paid a commission for each transaction . I know many people are angry towards Post office limited but boycotting your local branches will have a severe effect on a small business owner who is trying their best to provide essential local services.

Evidence has been produced that the Post Office engaged in a mass cover up which led to the wrongful prosecution of 550 Post Office Staff many of whom were subsequently jailed, bankrupted and in some cases, sadly took their own lives. The initial Post Office investigation in 2012 failed to find any....

Well Part one has aired. Seeing this, and remembering my time as Postmaster of Goole Post Office since 2005, and Moorends Post Office since 2004,although its a drama , its heavily based on truth. We have also suffered losses but not quite to the levels in the drama. We have put the shortages in until 2019. Like many Postmasters we have not been recompensed for these losses.
