🚴🎉 THEY DID IT! 🎉🚴

After three days on the road and an incredible 146-mile journey from Whitehaven to Sunderland, our Omega C2C Bike Ride 2026 team have successfully completed their coast-to-coast challenge! 🙌

A huge congratulations to Nicola, Alan, Ellie, Michael, Joshua, Jack and Diane, who took on this epic ride in support of Foundation of Light and Alzheimer's Research UK. 💙

Covering 146 miles across some of the UK's most challenging terrain, the team showed outstanding determination, resilience and teamwork every step of the way. This challenge wasn't just about the miles, it was about raising awareness and funds for two fantastic charities that make a real difference to their communities.

We're incredibly proud of what the team has achieved and would like to thank everyone who has supported them, donated and cheered them on throughout the journey. 👏

🚴💨 THEY'RE OFF!

The Omega C2C Bike Ride 2026 officially starts today!

Our team of 10 riders have just set off from Whitehaven and are beginning their epic coast-to-coast journey to Sunderland, taking on 137 miles across of the UK's most challenging terrain over the next three days. 💪

This challenge isn't just about the miles. Every pedal stroke is helping raise awareness for Foundation of Light (SAFC) & Alzheimer's Research UK.

We'd like to wish Nicola, Alan, Ellie, Michael, Joshua, Jack, Diane, Neil, Jackie and Matt the very best of luck as they begin their journey today 🙌

Tee-rific day all round! 🏌️

This month our Omega Golf Day brought together colleagues for a fantastic day at Bawtry Golf Club, filled with friendly competition, great conversations, and plenty of memorable moments (with a few players showing their talents, and others showing their sense of humour.. 😉)

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day a success. Special recognition also goes to Mark Guest for organising the event from start to finish. A lot of hard work goes into days like these, and it certainly paid off.

🚴 The countdown is on! This Friday, our Omega team sets off on their Coast to Coast challenge, cycling from Whitehaven to Sunderland in support of Foundation of Light and Alzheimer's Research UK. ❤️

Some of our brave Omega team members are taking on the iconic coast-to-coast route from Whitehaven to Sunderland, covering hundreds of miles across some of the UK's toughest terrain. From steep climbs to unpredictable weather, this is no small feat... but it's all for something bigger than the ride itself.

✨ We're proud to be supporting Foundation of Light and Alzheimer's Research UK, with all funds raised split equally between these two incredible charities. Their work makes a real difference, supporting communities across the North East and driving vital research into dementia.

💬 It's Okay To Talk.

Today, we were honoured to welcome Ben Rhodes from Andys Man Club to Omega Kitchens, where he delivered an insightful and impactful presentation to our teams on the importance of men's mental health.

Ben spoke about the vital work carried out by ANDYSMANCLUB, encouraging men to open up, seek support, and recognise that they do not have to face life's challenges alone. 🤝

The session reinforced the importance of breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and fostering environments where individuals feel safe and supported to have open, honest conversations.

ANDYSMANCLUB is a men's su***de prevention charity that provides free, peer-to-peer support groups across the UK, helping men through the power of conversation.

Their message is simple, yet profoundly important: .

🧡 Supporting Wear It Orange 🧡

Today, our teams across Omega Kitchens took part in a "Wear It Orange" dress down day to raise awareness for Batten Disease (BDSRA official group).

It was wonderful to see colleagues coming together to support such an important cause, with everyone adding their own touch of orange in solidarity. 🍊

Batten Disease is a rare, inherited neurological condition that primarily affects children, causing progressive damage to the nervous system. While there is currently no cure, organisations such as the BDSRA provide vital support to affected families and help fund important research.

Currently working on BST in the Machine Shop, Ricky plays an important role in helping to keep production running smoothly. Through operating machinery, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently, he helps deliver the products our customers rely on every day.✨

Over the past 25 years, Ricky has built a wealth of knowledge and experience, becoming a valued and dependable member of the team. Known for his straightforward approach and willingness to simply get on with the job, he has earned the respect of colleagues across the business. His dedication, reliability, and commitment to producing quality work have made a lasting contribution to both the Machine Shop and Omega as a whole.
