Friday 6th March saw us once again assemble at Coastland College - Kingston Maurward
The mornings are becoming lighter and the birdsong put a smile on all our faces.

We had one lovely visitor, Verity Haime from Haime Roofing Limited

It was 'National Employees day' Friday, a yearly reminder of how important staff are to representing our businesses and how to recognise them.

The education slot this week was delivered by our Digital Doctor, Damian Lo Cascio. Damian did a little role play with two of the members called the £10,000 question! When were out and about in our working and personal lives, people talk about the problems that have. It's linking those problems to the people in the room. We all solve problems here and if we can identify what problems we solve, it's easier to make that all important introduction. What's your problem?

VP Report
Last week we generated £13k in business, which totals £933K over the last 12 months.

Our last meeting of November we find it is 'Bavarian Cream Pie day'! The renowned dessert’s history is older than a lot of us, dating back to as far as the 19th century, and some may say even older than Simon and Malcolm combined!

We had two great visitors
Chris Pearson of Baker Pearson & Kirsty Heap.

Our Ed slot was delivered by our brand Photographer Ellie Smeaton who outlined the power of building relationships and the importance of consistently being there and making the time to have 121s with each member to help build the relationship and the knowledge about the fellow members' business, and most importantly be able to identify a good lead referral from them when you are out and about on your normal working week.

BNI encourage members to build our knowledge about those around you. A community of winning businesses!

Another high energy meeting at Coastland College - Kingston Maurward on Friday.

Nick Carroll provided us with the 10 mins education slot about inviting visitors to our meetings.
- When you ask someone to join a business meeting at 0645 in the morning most people won’t understand the value and say I’m busy if I asked “do you need more business?”
- Maybe change your tact and as “Do you want a a better business? Come along and meet x person and x person because they have really helped my business improve and make more profit this last year!”
Even if you don’t realise that growing your business is giving to other businesses making a community that looks out for each other and provides the expertise and lift to your business when you really need it.

The focus was visitor reach and the power of who is in the room. After some discussion, we worked out that we have a potential reach of 4,750,000 between us which means lots of lovely visitors and new opportunities to refer business.

Our VP Angie from A.N.G Design Consultancy reported on our Chapter outcomes to date.

She shared her Corporate Wellness packages for employers who would like to provide simple pamper and recovery sessions with Lynne. Whether it’s skin care, baggy eyes or just a coffee and a chat, a refreshed and energised workforce will boost productivity and loyalty.
There was a super ‘stand up for true’ and ‘sit down for false’ education quiz, with questions about the care of your skin which went down well, with the wooden spoon going to Nick Carroll for providing the best answers!
Then Lynne asked us to write down a list of people and clients you would like to thank for the business or work you have done for each other and introduce them to Lynne so she can provide a pamper as a thank you!

Lynne also received two heartfelt testimonials following her presentation from two members.
Well done, Lynne

Well done team and thank you all you superb professionals!

Hayden Corney enlightened us during the education slot talking about how to keep your ears open for potential referrals while we are out and about on our general working week. Listening to others we meet often helps us introduce to our resident professionals in their chosen fields, e.g. someone frustrated with their mortgage change or speed in their advisors following up could be a great opportunity to introduce them to the award winning Chris from CJ Mortgage Hub Ltd
Or
Someone with their boiler going on the blink this time of year would do well to talk to Jason from JPF Plumbing, Heating & Gas Limited our resident heating engineer
Or
Someone worried about their pensions being all over the place from years working in different jobs could do well by having a conversation with Nick at Nicholas Carroll & Financial Associates

The group covers so much expertise and its easy to drop in a name of one of our trusted business partners making the introduction relevant and timely. Thank you, Hayden.
