💰 It was National Financial Awareness Day last Friday!

Luckily, we have our Vice President and resident financial expert, Nick, to help us make sense of it all! 📈

And as always, it’s been another busy month for our BNI chapter:

🤝 32 1-2-1s completed
🔄 23 referrals passed
💷 £6,600 TYFTB
🚀 £20,760 passed last month
💰 £717,000 passed over the past 12 months!

That’s a brilliant reflection of what happens when a group of local business owners genuinely look out for each other and actively create opportunities.

A big welcome back to Jason from JPF Plumbing Heating & Gas Limited — great to have you back with the group! 🔧

This week, we also had a fantastic and engaging 10-minute presentation from Damian at The Digital Doctor showing us how AI agents can simplify processes across a business, generate valuable intelligence and ultimately help create more sales while making day-to-day operations smoother. 🤖

And finally, a reminder that we have our BNI Visitor Day on 3rd September at Kingston Maurward! 🎉

If you’re a local business owner and fancy coming along to meet the group, make some connections and see what BNI is all about, come and join us.

Oh, and did we mention there’ll be free beer and pizza? 🍺🍕

Drop us a message if you’d like to come along!

🍻 Happy International Beer Day! 🍻

Another fantastic week for our chapter, continuing to show the power of building relationships and supporting one another.

📊 This week's chapter highlights:
💷 £9,280 of business passed this week
🤝 Continuing the momentum after an incredible July, where we generated £27,918 of business and completed 81 one-to-one meetings.

👏 A special mention to Ian Dixon, who achieved the highest TYFTB (Thank You For The Business) this week with an incredible £2,500. A great example of the impact that trusted relationships and referrals can have when we actively support each other's businesses.

A huge thank you to everyone for the referrals, introductions, and support throughout the month.

This week's education slot was delivered by Adam, focusing on the importance of following up on referrals and, just as importantly, building confidence within the chapter. The more confidence members have in your expertise, communication, and professionalism, the more likely they are to continue referring you to their clients and contacts.

📅 Looking ahead...

We’re excited to be hosting a relaxed networking social on 3rd September at the beautiful Coastland College - Kingston Maurward venue.

This is a great opportunity to meet other local business owners, build new relationships, and see how connecting with the right people can help you grow your business.

Whether you’re already part of BNI or know someone who would benefit from expanding their network, we’d love to see you there!

Have a fantastic weekend, and if you’re celebrating International Beer Day, enjoy a well-earned pint! 🍺

It's National Avocado Day 🥑 and Appreciate a Lifeguard Day today.

If you haven't seen the video of the 16-year-old lifeguard in the US rescuing a 10-year-old, it's well worth a watch. A great reminder of the difference one person can make.

This morning, we were back in the beautiful outdoor setting at Dragonfly, Coastland College - Kingston Maurward for another BNI Regency meeting.

We had a really engaging education slot from Malcolm Scott Walby, focusing on how we can all become better at inviting visitors and continuing to grow what is already a fantastic group.

We then switched things up, with everyone getting 2 minutes to talk about what they do, what they've been working on, and the opportunities they're looking for.

One thing that always stands out is the calibre of people in the room. It's a group of professionals at the top of their game, making a real impact on businesses and the wider community through collaboration and referrals.
And the numbers back it up:
💷 £29,663 – Thank You For The Business (TYFTB) this month
🤝 36 referrals passed between members this month
📈 £714,526 worth of business generated over the last 12 months
Those figures don't happen by chance. They're built on trust, consistency, and people genuinely looking for ways to help one another succeed.

If you've been thinking about growing your network, we'd love to welcome you along.

“The best and most fun chapter in Dorset.”

Those were the kind words from one of our visitors at BNI Regency this morning.

Today, we did things a little differently. As Malcolm Scott Walby put it, we took our meeting into “nature’s cathedral.” 🌳☀️

There really is something special about starting the day outdoors, enjoying the morning sunshine, and catching up on what everyone has been working on over the past week.

Rather than our usual 60-second presentations, we each had two minutes. It gave everyone the opportunity to share more about their business, talk through their week, and help the room better understand how to spot opportunities and make quality introductions.

It was also fantastic to welcome Paul Taylor from Howden Commercial Insurance and Lee Bishop from Newbury Networks. Great to have your energy with us this morning—we hope you enjoyed the experience and look forward to seeing you again soon!

The energy was brilliant, and the results continue to speak for themselves:

📈 Revenue generated over the last 12 months: £721,451
🤝 1-to-1 meetings last month: 41
📨 Referrals generated last month: 39
💷 TYFTB (Thank You For The Business): £16,440

These numbers don’t happen by accident. They’re built on trust, genuine relationships, and a group of people who are committed to helping one another grow.

BNI Regency continues to be a chapter that delivers results while creating an atmosphere that’s genuinely enjoyable to be part of.

If you’ve ever wondered whether networking could help your business, why not come and see for yourself? You might just find out why our visitor described us as “the best and most fun chapter in Dorset.”

£107,602.
That's the value of business passed within our BNI chapter last month alone.

Over the past 12 months, we've generated an incredible £726,961 worth of business for one another.

Last month also saw:
✅ 43 referrals passed
✅ 45 one-to-one meetings completed
These numbers don't happen by accident. They're built on trust, consistency, and taking the time to really understand each other's businesses.

This week's meeting was a little different. We delivered our usual 60-second presentations before breaking out into dedicated 1-2-1 conversations, giving everyone the chance to build even stronger relationships and discover more ways to help each other.
One of my favourite moments came from Paul Hines, who shared a brilliant example of the power of networking. A single introduction from Damian at The Digital Doctor has already led to four or five referrals for other members in the room.
That's the magic of BNI Regency.
One conversation. One introduction. A ripple effect that benefits multiple local businesses.

If you've ever wondered what BNI is all about, this Thursday is the perfect opportunity to experience it for yourself.

£18,893 of business was passed and 41 referrals were generated within the Regency Chapter over the past month!

Another fantastic meeting for BNI Regency, with great education, an inspiring member presentation, valuable visitors, and some significant chapter news.

We kicked off with an insightful education slot from Ian Dixon, who spoke about the importance of sharing and maintaining balance within the group. His message reinforced that the stronger our relationships become, the more opportunities we create for one another, helping everyone achieve greater success.

We then enjoyed a brilliant presentation from Angie Phillips of Angie showcased some of the outstanding work she's created for the and demonstrated why the best results come from combining the creativity and expertise of a professional graphic designer with the capabilities of AI. It's a powerful partnership that helps brands truly stand out.

It was also great to welcome a couple of visitors to the chapter. We were delighted to see former member Katherine Rann from back with us, alongside Paul Meking, who offers complete IT solutions for businesses. We hope you both enjoyed the meeting and look forward to seeing you again soon.

This meeting also marked the end of an era as we said a heartfelt goodbye to two long-standing members.

After many years as our Vice President and more than 20 years as a dedicated BNI member, Angie leaves behind an incredible legacy and has played a huge part in shaping the Regency Chapter into what it is today.

We also said farewell to Hayden, whose commitment and support have been instrumental to the chapter's success over the years.

On behalf of everyone at Regency, thank you both for everything you've contributed. We wish you every success in your next chapter - you'll always be welcome back, and you'll be greatly missed.

As one chapter closes, another begins. We're delighted to welcome Nick Carroll as our new Vice President. We're excited about the energy, enthusiasm, and fresh perspective he'll bring to the role, and we look forward to seeing the chapter continue to grow under his leadership.

If you've been thinking about growing your business through quality referrals and meaningful relationships, now is the perfect time to come and see what Regency is all about.

March 2026

The last two Fridays saw several visitors and one new member join us!

And our newest member Ed Jackson from Aspray Dorchester

Our Vice President report outlined the last two weeks referrals resulting in 27k worth of business generated at Regency with a current 12 month running total of 939k! A super community of business! Well done, Regency.

The two member presentations featured Nick Carroll and Damian Lo Cascio

Nick Carroll - financial advisor Carrol and Financial Associates talked to us about the power of a great plan, making the most out of your pensions and tax saving advice on how to use your money and save for the future and hide the hidden money in our past working lives.
And
Damian Lo Cascio from the our marketing expert explained how creating clear action plans and setting up automations can help your business stay organised, remain focused on results, and sell more products to more people. By using AI and automation tools, you can also better qualify and understand your target market.

Friday 6th March saw us once again assemble at Coastland College - Kingston Maurward
The mornings are becoming lighter and the birdsong put a smile on all our faces.

We had one lovely visitor, Verity Haime from Haime Roofing Limited

It was 'National Employees day' Friday, a yearly reminder of how important staff are to representing our businesses and how to recognise them.

The education slot this week was delivered by our Digital Doctor, Damian Lo Cascio. Damian did a little role play with two of the members called the £10,000 question! When were out and about in our working and personal lives, people talk about the problems that have. It's linking those problems to the people in the room. We all solve problems here and if we can identify what problems we solve, it's easier to make that all important introduction. What's your problem?

VP Report
Last week we generated £13k in business, which totals £933K over the last 12 months.
