I was contacted by their production company who asked me whether I knew of any ‘dynamic families or couples’

They are particularly interested in couples (can be friends, you do not need to be in a relationship) and families with teens

Just ‘need to be interesting’ and ‘make people laugh’…

Location house needed for filming in April 2024

I have just been given a brief to find a modest looking weatherboard or wood panelled American Style house with a porch

They need space around the house or barn to build a stage and possibly some other facades

I have a few options already but would like to submit more if possible and need to send them by tomorrow

Filming is likely to last around 2 days

Ideally both within 50 miles of Shepperton Studios, could a tad over but no more than 70 miles

Attached are reference pics of the sort of location the production team are after

Please message me directly if you think you know of a property which would work

Still pinching myself! I went to the last night…having reached the finals in the ‘Business woman of the year’ category.

I honestly did not expect to win…I was up against six amazing business women.…so when it was announced I had won gold….I almost fell off my chair!

This wouldn’t have happened without you…thank you so much for supporting my businesses and 🙏😊

🇯🇵 Kyoto? Tokyo? Okayama?! Actually this beautiful Japanese tea house, lake and garden are less than an hour from London!

How enchanting is this Location?! 💕 There red, ‘soribashi’ bridge is one of several which span the lake.

There are granite lanterns everywhere and stunning Japanese maples which will be turning a spectacular, fiery red soon in early spring 🍁

What amazing tapestries, antique French furniture and statement fireplace…although I have to admit I can’t take my eyes off the Saluki! 🐕 Isn’t he gorgeous?!

This room is one of six stunning bedrooms in our latest location house which is a beautiful Queen Anne property. It dates all the way back to 1688 and has been lovingly restored

Outside it has a beautiful white rendered facade and is double fronted with bays to both sides of the ground floor

Inside there is original 17th century panelling and large open fireplaces in the entrance hall, dining room and formal sitting room. The country kitchen has open, feature shelves and a large aga

There are three bathrooms, two of them are 1960s styled and there is a roll top bath in the other

Outside the garden is 3/4 of an acre and there is a large driveway with plenty of parking and it is only a few miles from central London

So many people who met the Queen have referred to her wonderful sense of humour. This was clearly evident when she had us all in hysterics with her brilliant, comedy performances during the 2012 Olympics and more recently with Paddington at the Jubilee

But there are countless other anecdotes out there which illustrate her mischievous side too…

One of my favourite examples was a story my Dad recounted to me….

Dad invited the Queen’s former royal protection officer, Richard Griffin, to speak at a Probus event he had organised in early 2020.

Richard had the whole room laughing out loud when he shared one of his most entertaining moments with Queen Elizabeth….

Her Majesty had gone for a walk with him near the grounds of Balmoral dressed in tweeds and a headscarf. So low key was her look, that a tourist completely failed to realise who she was. Richard said the Queen stopped and said hello to anyone she passed and so they all exchanged small talk about the tourist’s holiday in Britain. Then the tourist asked the Queen where she lived!

The Queen told them she lived in London but had a holiday home in Aberdeenshire, where of course Balmoral is located.

The tourist then asked the Queen how often she had visited the area and she told them that she had been visiting for over 80 years ever since she was a little girl.

He then asked her if during that time she had ever seen the Queen and.. quick as a flash… she said she hadn’t....but her companion (i.e. Richard) had met her regularly!!!

The excited tourist turned to Richard and asked him what the Queen was like! Richard played along and jested that she could be very cantankerous at times... but that she had a lovely sense of humour!

The tourist then threw his arm around the bodyguard, and gave his camera to the Queen, asking if she’d take a picture of them…. and she did so without hesitation!

After the photo was taken they swapped places and Richard took a photo of the Queen with the tourist!!!

After they waved goodbye the Queen and Richard had a good laugh wondering if anyone would recognise her when the photos were shown to friends and family. Would her cover be blown?!

Does anyone recognise where this footage was shot? 🎬

These are the Surrey scenes in CBS’s ‘The Man who Fell to Earth’….the sequel to the 1976 film starring David Bowie

I was contacted late one evening last year by a producer who had been let down at the last minute by another Locations company. They had been unable to find what was needed….and filming was due to take place 72 hours later!!!

The production needed a straight with some trees which would allow reverse angles, a hairpin bend with a scenic backdrop, a bridge they could film an Aston Martin speeding across…face on…and a quintessentially English village

I was pretty confident two locations I had in mind would be suitable for all 4 scenes and my hunch paid off when the producer and cinematographer approved my submissions within hours! Oh and an added bonus was the locations were within a few miles of each other (another clue!) Pleased to report the call sheet was sent out less than 24 hours after I had received the brief!

The Surrey footage were the final scenes to be shot after 300 days of shooting and it was great to location manage them and work with the Aston Martin driver, crew and producers. Lovely to receive this endorsement afterwards too….
