Storytime!
Today is the 1st day of and the 1st prompt is storytime so we thought we would tell you a bit about us. We are Emma and Laura we run our own craft businesses and .chocolates and have come together to create Craft to Company, a community of crafters and craft business owners who want successful businesses. Our YouTube and Podcast show launched last week, where we give other crafters a platform to share their experiences, the ups and downs of running your own business along with some great tips and a bundle of inspiration. You can watch our latest episode here https://youtu.be/jSPJGUYeFn0?si=0XnbKM-kwxIc1lQq

We're going to try and do every day of March meet the maker... but spoiler alert I (Emma) normally manage about 4 days 🙈
We'd love to hear a bit more about your businesses. To see the prompts just slide across and if you'd like to tag us, we will share your posts too.

Starting a business can feel pretty overwhelming, there are loads of things to think about. I remember feeling that way when we opened our first bicycle shop in 2012. Since then I have started several more and supported lots of others in starting their own businesses.

I've put together the 10 simple steps I always use and recommend to take you from feeling a little lost, to having your business up and running!

This is a FREE download, so there are no excuses to take that first step. To get the Free download click the link in my bio.

Things are likely going to be quite challenging over the next month or so. At a time where small businesses rely on the madness that is Christmas. Many business owners will now be worrying that everyone will flock to Amazon leaving them hanging on by a thread. So in the run up to christmas be the rainbow in the rain. Shop local, shop small, even if it's just one little item that you'd normally buy from one of the big boys. It all makes a difference!

▪P L E D G E▪
I'm making a pledge to support small businesses. This weekend I visited St Ives, it was busy, really busy with as of tourists. At 5 o'clock I spotted a man selling the big issue. I bought one and he told me it was his first sale of the day. All those people walked past but nobody supported him and bought one.

It's made me more determined to support small businesses even more. So many people are only a few paychecks away from being homeless and trying to sell the big issue all day to no takers.

So I am pledging to support one small business every day. Be that purchasing something from them or shouting about them from the rooftops! I'm going to do it.

All I ask for. you is that if a business sounds up your street, give them a follow and share one if their posts to your stories. It costs nothing but a few seconds of your time.

And if you're a small business yourself drop me a message, let me support you 💙
