After reports of members of the public being stung, Ringwood Town Council contacted us to deal with this very active ground nest.

Thousands of wasps, one treatment, job done. 👍

When rats get out of the drains… 🐀

At this property, holes were appearing around the manhole and the block-paved driveway had started to sink and collapse.

Once opened up, the problem became clear - rats had damaged the bottom of the drainage chamber and were burrowing out into the surrounding ground, undermining the driveway above.

The damaged chamber was replaced, the ground and block paving reinstated, and a stainless-steel non-return rat flap installed to help prevent rats travelling back up from the main sewer.

Find the source. Fix the problem. Prevent it happening again. ✅

🐝 Wasp nest found inside a garden shed!

This one had been built away inside the shed, with plenty of activity coming and going.

During the warmer months, wasp nests can turn up almost anywhere - sheds, lofts, wall cavities, roof spaces and even underground.

If you spot increased wasp activity around your property, there’s usually a nest somewhere nearby.

This property initially presented with a severe rat infestation. During our investigation, we found the drainage system was completely backed up with silt and debris, immediately raising concerns that there could be structural defects within the underground pipework.

Rather than simply treating the rodents, we carried out a full CCTV drainage investigation to establish the root cause.

Our findings confirmed damaged drainage allowing rats to escape the sewer network and gain access to the property.

🔧 Remedial works included:
• Excavation to expose defective drainage
• Installation of new underground drainage connections
• Structural drain repairs
• Drain relining using a no-dig liner to restore the existing pipework
• Final testing to ensure the system was flowing correctly and fully sealed

This is exactly why we always say effective rat control starts with identifying how they’re getting in. If you simply remove the rats without repairing the drainage defects, the infestation is likely to return.
