On Saturday 6th June, the Pier to Pier Norfolk charity walk took place, challenging participants to walk an incredible 32 miles along the beautiful Norfolk coastline, from Cromer Pier to Great Yarmouth, in support of East Anglia's Children's Hospices - EACH

As you can imagine, keeping hundreds of walkers fuelled and hydrated over such a long distance is a huge task! Along the route, several rest stops provide much-needed snacks and drinks to help participants stay energised, motivated and safe as they make their way towards the finish line.

The Accent Fresh Community Fund was delighted to support the event by donating a selection of fresh apples, oranges and bananas to help refuel the walkers along their journey. 🍎🍊🍌

We’re proud to play a small part in supporting this fantastic event and the incredible work of EACH in making a difference to children and families across East Anglia.

Brambles Animal Sanctuary - Denver, Norfolk is a small, family-run animal rescue charity based in Denver, near Downham Market, Norfolk. Run by the incredible Sue Duffield, Brambles has been providing care, safety and a second chance to animals in need since 1995.

During our recent visit, Accent Fresh were delighted to meet Sue and see first-hand the amazing work she does to care for so many animals. 🐶🐱🐴🐑🐰

Sue opens her heart and her home to a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, sheep, horses and rabbits. Many of the dogs in her care have suffered terribly through neglect, mistreatment or abandonment. Some have life-changing injuries, others are missing parts of their faces, and some require wheel braces to help them get around. For many of these little dogs, Brambles will be their forever home — a place where they can finally feel safe, loved and cared for.

❤️ Every animal deserves kindness, and Sue makes sure they get it.

But caring for so many vulnerable animals comes at a huge cost. From daily food and bedding to endless washing, towels and essential veterinary treatment, including complex and often expensive surgery, the bills never stop. Brambles relies entirely on donations, fundraising and gifts of animal feed and other produce to keep going.
