I really enjoyed spending time on Tuesday with a brilliant group of founders at Business & IP Centre Norfolk during Global Entrepreneurship Week.

I walked everyone through 5 essential steps to starting your own business: from the mindset and wellbeing practices every founder needs, to the frameworks, tools and systems that keep things running smoothly, right through to shaping an idea that’s market-ready and building a strategy that can genuinely support growth. The questions, curiosity and energy in the room made the session fly by. Great to see lots of smiles in the room and afterwards when chatting over coffee and biscuits.

Big thanks to Peter Golland, Julie, and Jonny for all their hard work and inviting me to get involved. Great to share this event with Rechenda Smith MCIPR MCIM and Alex Till at MENTA Business Support for Norfolk & Suffolk. A real pleasure and something I am looking forward to doing more of.

💡 If you’re building something from scratch, you probably already know how much the right people can shape your journey. And honestly, with so much noise online, the simple act of showing up in person to truly network feels more powerful than ever: real eye contact, real conversations, real trust and credibility fast.

Since starting my startup business coaching venture six months ago (with 20+ years of self employment experience), just being in person at events, coffees, meetups... it's connected me with people who genuinely care about what they’re creating and who they choose to associate themselves with. Those moments have led to opportunities, just by showing up and demonstrating what it means to be human in the age of digital.

If you’re trying to figure out your next step, meet others on the same path, or just feel less alone in the chaos of starting up, events like today can make a bigger difference than you might expect.
