New Marshall’s modal x driveway

I hope everyone had a lovely Xmas.

Happy new year!

First of all I’d like to say thank you to all of my customers, staff, friends and family, it’s been a hard year, mentally and in terms of business.
But we start a new year tomorrow, I feel good, we have plenty of work booked in and the weather forecast is just cold no rain, I can live with that 😬

Here’s a few of this years projects, I’ve been terrible updating social media this year but of course we are still busy so here’s a few.

I haven’t put anything on for a while but we’ve still been busy.

This porcelain patio was completed earlier this year using Marshall’s porcelain paving with a contrasting bespoke cut border.
We also re turfed the garden and rebuilt the steps down to the pond.

Another nice job done, and as with every patio we do this one has a substantial concrete base with expansion joints to allow for movement.

Here’s a lovely porcelain patio we did in cold Norton.

This one had a concrete slab laid with mesh with extra depth toes where the walls sit.
The garden has a large slope so we installed new drainage along with land drains behind the wall.

And then the typical attention to detail. Perfect straight lines, mitres that line up, steps that are the same riser and tread size which for us is standard stuff.

The customer waited a while for a us but was very happy with the end result.

I am genuinely proud that Marshall’s which is the leading manufacturer of concrete blocks in this country has chosen to use one of my jobs for the front cover on their new brochure.

They have also used me for their approved contractors scheme.

I’m quite proud of that 😁

This has to be the nicest block we’ve used.

Marshall’s new infinia blocks in bronze with a washed cotton border. Steps built using random length granite from ced Thurrock.

These blocks have a porcelain like surface meaning they don’t weather or behave like normal concrete blocks do. So fading will be less, cleaning will be easier and staining will be easier to deal with.

As with all our driveways they are carried out to an exacting standard which has netted us several awards over the years.

Just finished this new driveway in hockley using Lakeland blocks from Lower Barn Farm

We replaced the pretty poor resin driveway which was covered in cracks and just looked very tired.

A substantial sub base well compacted and concreted in edges with re bar will ensure this lasts for many years to come.

We also re built the steps using dark grey granite. We constructed a series of concrete pads for this, again ensuring longevity.

We did this stunning Marshall’s lunar driveway in billericay earlier this year.
Total transformation from the old smashed up sandstone driveway!
As with all our driveways we offer a spec built to last - and they do!
Attention to detail including the way the levels are set out produce a job like this one 😁

I was very honoured to have picked up these two awards last week for Marshall’s best driveway over 70m2 and best driveway under 70m2. The two I’d want to win!

Two absolutely amazing driveways if I do say so myself.
