Two office suites are now available to let at Strathleven House, an A-listed Palladian mansion in the heart of Dunbartonshire, just north-west of Glasgow.

Suites A1 and A2 offer flexible, light-filled office space, well-suited to small and medium-sized businesses looking for a distinctive base.

The building dates back to 1700 and was rescued from ruin by Scottish Historic Buildings Trust and restored through a £2.4 million programme.

The building is still cared for by SHBT, equipped with all the modern amenities you'd expect, and, of course, a prestigious address with over three centuries of history behind it.

Email [email protected] or visit shbt.org.uk/strathleven to arrange a viewing.

We also offer corporate events, meetings and conferences.

Meet Plant and Safety Limited 🎉

Spotlight on our resident at Strathleven 💡

Introducing Plant & Safety ⚙️

In a few words, describe your business!
I’m Daniel Marson, Regional Director of Plant & Safety. Established in 2019, we provide excellence in all works associated with lifting. We are specialists in PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, LEV and proof load testing.

What is the inspiration behind your business?
Safety foremost, between senior management and our engineers, we have many years of experience in the lifting industry. We desire to fill the gap in the market between sizeable corporate industry providers and local market tenders with high standards, leading technology, and quality assurance.

Why Strathleven House?
Dumbarton is my hometown, and as a business, Strathleven House offers a professional location that supports all our operational needs.

What's your favourite thing about Strathleven?
The History and the connection to the past have often been the starting conversation for most of our formal on-site meetings, an excellent ice breaker. 💫

What’s the best thing about your job?
Diversity, covering Scotland and Northern Ireland as a region, has given me access to the most beautiful places and the people living there.

Where did your business name come from?
The name promotes itself and sets the standard for our image, specialising in plant machinery and dedicating ourselves to the safety of others; the name almost wrote itself.

What’s your biggest challenge?
Our biggest challenge is being current with industry standards. Our industry constantly evolves, and being aware of these changes also gives us an advantage over our competitors.

How can people find you?
Our website or any google / Yahoo search of plant and safety will bring you right to us. If you want a more direct approach, please contact me at 📧[email protected]

As you likely know, Strathleven House was restored and is now managed by Scottish Historic Buildings Trust – and we have a new look! We’re really excited to tell you more about it.

We’re still the same organisation as we were before, striving to bring Scottish historic buildings back to life to become treasured and valued assets for the communities which they serve, whether as a vibrant community hub, events space, or rooms to let.

We’re keen to showcase the best of what we do under our main banner, and because of that this page will be absorbed into our main SHBT page in January 2022, with a brand new page dedicated purely to our wedding venues throughout the country: SHBT Weddings

We’ll still be sharing all of our updates in relation to Strathleven House on the main SHBT channel, along with other information about the historic buildings we love.
