Meet the Trainees! 👋

McGowan Miller are proud to have three talented trainee surveyors currently developing their careers with us — and potentially becoming the future of McGowan Miller!

We have a strong history of supporting and developing young professionals. Our current Directors started their own careers with the company at just 17, highlighting the opportunities available to those starting out with us.

All three trainees are studying part-time alongside their work:

🔹 Duncan Kingsley – First Year at Edinburgh Napier University, studying towards becoming a Building Surveyor.

🔹 Ravi Sandhu – First Year at Glasgow Caledonian University, studying Quantity Surveying.

🔹 Harvey Craig – Final Year at Glasgow Caledonian University, studying Quantity Surveying and due to obtain his BSc (Hons) next summer.

Balancing university studies with a career in the industry provides valuable experience and allows our trainees to put their learning into practice on live projects.

Everyone at McGowan Miller is delighted to have Duncan, Ravi and Harvey as part of the team and we wish them every success as they continue their studies and professional development.

The future is bright! 👏

We’re proud to be part of the team for this exciting project at the Balmoral Estate, Aberdeenshire which will see the main lodge house, bothy and historic stables transformed into high-quality accommodation while retaining and respecting the character of the existing buildings.

It’s fantastic to be involved in another project in this part of Scotland and to have the opportunity to contribute to a development with such a unique setting and rich history.

We’re looking forward to seeing the project progress and the plans come to life on site over the coming months.

Both Queen Victoria and Prince Albert spent time at the historic buildings on Balmoral Estate, but Victoria could never bring herself to return after the love of her life died.

Throughout the last four years, Ciaran has worked incredibly hard, developing his skills, knowledge and experience within the industry and becoming a valued member of the McGowan Miller team.

It has been fantastic to see his progression, and we are delighted to see all his hard work and dedication rewarded with such a great achievement.

Well done, Ciaran — congratulations on your graduation! 🎓👏
