About the Role

We’re looking for a caring, organised Care Enhancement Coordinator to help improve the experience and outcomes for our clients across Dundee & Angus. This office-based role also includes the flexibility to support with care visits if needed.

Key Responsibilities

Enhance Client & Family Experience: Be a trusted point of contact for clients and families. Listen to needs, provide reassurance, and ensure their voice is central to care decisions.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in care, health, social work, or a coordination/support role focused on improving outcomes for people.
Excellent communication skills – warm, clear, and confident by phone, email, and in person.
Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure with strong attention to detail.
IT literate – comfortable with care management systems, email, and MS Office.
Commitment to dignity, choice, and person-centred care in line with Care Inspectorate principles.
SVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is desirable.
PVG check required.

Caring for someone with dementia and feeling like you’re fighting apathy 24/7?

Here’s the truth: apathy isn’t laziness.
In dementia, it’s caused by brain damage. The part of the brain that gives someone the drive to get up, wash, eat, or join in… stops working properly.

So you get days where your loved one just sits, watches TV, and won’t engage. Not because they don’t want to. Because they can’t start.

And for you as a full-time family carer, that’s exhausting. You’re constantly being the motivator, the planner, the one who “makes it happen.”

That’s why respite matters.

At Bentley’s Home Care, our longer social support visits give both of you a break:

💙 For the person with dementia: Time with staff who understand apathy. We work with it, not against it - using small steps, limited choices, music, and side-by-side activities so they have a supportive, positive time out.

💙 For you: A few hours that are actually yours. Go for a walk, meet a friend, get your hair done, or just sit in peace without being “on.”

Respite isn’t a luxury. It’s self-care. And self-care keeps you going.

If you’re a family carer, when was the last time you had time that was just for you?

Message us to chat about how we can support you both.

Love this !!

💜Teamwork at its best 💜

The excitement was REAL at Bentleys today ! We purchased special tongs for one of our lovely clients to help celebrate with her on her birthday , and our amazing carer was the first to use them with her on her birthday 🎉

It’s the little things that keep independence + dignity alive. Well done team – this is what care looks like.

Giving people with dementia time to do tasks

People with dementia often need more time to process, plan, and complete everyday tasks. Rushing them creates anxiety and can make the task harder, or even impossible.

By slowing down, giving one instruction at a time, and waiting without filling the silence, we protect their dignity and let them use the skills they still have.

Time is care – it reduces frustration, preserves independence for longer, and turns a “can’t do” moment into an “I did it” moment.
