🚨 A busy few days first fixing a new fire alarm system in Fettercairn 🚨

We have been on site carrying out the first fix of a new fire alarm system for a brand-new community centre in Fettercairn.

During the first fix stage, our team has been working alongside other trades to ensure all cabling routes, device locations, and system requirements are carefully planned and installed correctly from the start.

A well-designed fire alarm system is more than just a compliance requirement — it’s a vital part of protecting people and property when it matters most.

We look forward to returning in a few weeks for the second fix, commissioning, and handover once the project progresses.

Great progress so far on another important community project 🔥

From fire alarms to CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control — we provide professional systems designed to keep people and properties protected.

🔥 Fire alarms aren’t exciting - but they are essential for life protection.

Unfortunately, some landlords and commercial property managers view fire alarm systems as a tick box exercise.

However, this is not the case.

A correctly installed, serviced and maintained fire alarm system is the first line of defence between people and a fire.

When a fire occurs, every second matters. A reliable fire alarm system provides the early warning needed to alert occupants and allow them the time required to safely evacuate the building.

We recently attended an HMO property where the existing fire alarm panel had developed a fault due to a failed power supply.

To restore reliability and ensure continued protection for residents, we removed the faulty panel and installed a new C-Tec Conventional Fire Alarm Panel.

At Access Point Fire & Security, we believe fire protection is about more than meeting requirements — it is about protecting people, properties and businesses when it matters most.

You never think that you’ll be the victim of a fire within your property… until it happens.

Across Dundee, Angus & Fife, we’ve recently seen residential fires, commercial incidents affecting ordinary properties and businesses.

The reality is, most people assume their current setup is “good enough”… until it’s not.

Ask yourself:
- Would your alarm activate early enough?
- Is your system actually compliant with current regulations?
- When was it last properly checked?

At Access Point F&S, we help property owners stay protected with:
✔️ Reliable fire alarm systems
✔️ CCTV & intruder alarms
✔️ Straightforward, compliant installations

No overcomplication. No inflated costs. Just systems that work when you need them most.

Been a bit quiet on socials lately — but that’s only because we’ve been flat out on installs 👷‍♂️

Here’s a recent 2-camera setup we completed, giving this property solid coverage and peace of mind 📹

Big thanks to for producing a custom bracket to get this mounted perfectly 👌
