Dungannon Chamber welcomes senior Stormont delegation to Market Square
Today, Dungannon and South Tyrone Chamber of Commerce welcomed First Minister Michelle OโNeill MLA, Economy Minister Caoimhe Archibald MLA, Colm Gildernew MLA, and Pat Cullen MP for Fermanagh and South Tyrone to Connect Dungannon in Market Square for a focused discussion on investment, infrastructure and economic growth in the Dungannon area.
The meeting brought together members of the Chamber board and senior government representatives to ensure that the concerns, ambitions and practical needs of local businesses are heard at the highest level.
Chamber President Niall Maneely outlined the progress made to date and highlighted key issues currently limiting business expansion, including infrastructure, road improvements and the availability of modern office accommodation.
While Dungannon benefits from strong food processing and engineering sectors, the discussion also centred on broadening the townโs employment base through growth in tradable services, helping to retain educated talent and attract new employers to the area.
The First Minister committed to progressing the issues raised, including facilitating further engagement with the Infrastructure Minister and reinforcing the importance of a joined-up approach to regional economic development.
It is important to us as a Chamber to bring decision-makers and local business leaders together, ensuring Dungannonโs voice is heard clearly and constructively.
