We were commissioned to make this rather sizeable pair of Sapele gates which are looking very impressive now installed in their new home.
Each gate is double braced and 65mm thick - these stunning hardwood gates fit into an electric opening system, allowing smooth opening and closing of the rebated pair.
The solid sapele frame has vertical lining to show off the beautiful swirling sapele grain which is showing off in the sunshine!
UV Exterior oil will keep them protected for many years to come.

Creating a super long and wide Scottish oak counter top to sit above base cabinets for a lovely couple of clients.
Always great to see the colours pop when using hardwax oil and the Matt finish leaves a natural finish to the timber.

We have been busy these last few months working on a project for for their new day centre - designed by the lovely architecture team at .smaller and under the project management of EC Specialists.
Corbenic Camphill Community offers a residential care home for adults with learning disabilities and a day care service which is to increase its provision by the arrival of this new day centre.
We were privileged to be involved in the project, producing Maple double doors, Bi-fold doors, Sliding doors, Glazed doors and solid maple internal frames and fittings. A lovely solid maple shelf finished off the double set of windows in the entrance lobby and we supplied the FR interior birch ply cladding for the walls.
The finish line is nearly in sight and we look forward to seeing the bustle of new people using the services!
We are taking a short break at the end of this week to refresh the batteries and will be back open from Thursday 19th Feb.

Back open with an icy and snowy start to the year!
The shop is open Weekdays 10am - 2pm for hardwood boards, slabs, blanks, pre-made mantels, furniture and finishes - or to discuss future bespoke projects.
We are taking on new commissions from March 2026 onwards.
We are in the workshop busy building from 8am - 5pm, so if you want to book an appointment outside of our shop opening times, drop us a line at [email protected]

Just a couple of dates for your diary!
We are heading up to deliver a very special table to the Isle of Skye tomorrow - Wednesday 1st October, so the shop and workshop will be closed, but back open again on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th.
We will also be closed on Monday 6th October - back in again on the 7th.
