Bywhe Renewables Ltd installed an Ecompact 190 pellet boiler last week.
This system includes a fully automatic vacuum feed, transferring pellets from a larger external hopper to the boiler whenever it needs topping up.

Delivering 15 kW to water and an impressive 93% efficiency, it’s a highly reliable and efficient heating solution.

Klover Wood Pellet Stoves - Q&A

Q: How do pellet stoves work?
A: Klover pellet stoves automatically feed wood pellets into the burner, ignite electronically, and adjust the flame using sensors. This gives you clean, efficient and controlled heat with minimal effort.

Q: How efficient are Klover pellet stoves?
A: Most Klover models operate at over 90% efficiency, meaning excellent heat output and very low fuel waste.

Q: Do they need electricity?
A: Yes. Pellet stoves use electricity, though power consumption is very low, similar to running a couple of light bulbs.

Q: Can I control the stove from my phone?
A: Yes. Many Klover models come with Wi-Fi built in or available as an option, allowing full app control: on/off, flame adjustment, room temperature, timers and monitoring.

Q: How often do I need to clean it?
A: Daily/weekly attention is minimal, this consists of usually emptying ash and wiping the glass. A full service is recommended once a year, which includes internal cleaning and safety checks.

Q: Are Klover stoves noisy?
A: Klover stoves are designed to be very quiet, especially the Soft Technology models. Noise is mainly from fans and pellet feeding, but it’s generally unobtrusive.

Q: What fuel do I need?
A: They use ENplus A1 wood pellets. Using high quality pellets is essential for longevity, efficiency, and a clean burn.

Q: Can they heat my whole house?
A: Yes, depending on the model.
-Air stoves heat the room they’re in (and sometimes adjoining rooms).
-Multi Air ducted stoves push warm air through vents to other rooms.
-Boiler pellet stoves (like Klover’s Ecompact and Smart ranges) can run full central heating and hot water systems.

Q: Are Klover pellet stoves eligible for the BUS grant?
A: Yes - All Klover pellet boilers are MCS-accredited, making them eligible for the £5,000 Boiler Upgrade Scheme in the UK.

Q: Do they require a chimney?
A: Yes - they require a twinwall flue system or if connecting to an existing chimney then it is likely the flexible flue liner can be installed and insulated. The diameter of the flue system can either be 100 or 125mm.

Q: What happens during a power cut?
A: The stove will shut down safely. A UPS (battery backup) can be added if you live in an area with unreliable power.

Q: Are they environmentally friendly?
A: Yes - wood pellets are a renewable fuel, and Klover’s combustion systems produce extremely low emissions compared to traditional woodburners.

Another installation completed by Bywhe Renewables Ltd
With an output to water of 19 kW, and total automation, the Smart 120 pellet cooker will take care of all your heating and hot water needs.
It will also give you a hot oven and hotplate when the stove is running, as well as being a really stylish addition to your kitchen.
As with all Klover wood pellet boilers, the Smart 120 is superbly built and designed with great attention to detail. It lights itself in the morning, so that your house is warm when you wake up, makes sure that there is plenty of hot water, and is there ready to cook your breakfast in a warm kitchen. You can set it exactly as you would an oil or gas boiler so that it comes on and goes off to fit in with the way you live.
