Our new forwarder trailer is finally here🥁Our old trailer was crushed during storm Arwen nearly a year ago, and the replacement was ordered in February. Just a few things to iron out with the tractor and we'll finally be able to bring in some of our logs from the forest ourselves!

A small batch of tapered larch cladding produced last week. The boards are planed on all sides first, then resawn diagonally on our Baker bandsaw. The boards taper from 23mm to 9mm and have a smooth finish.

ABBEY ST BATHANS ROAD CLOSURE

Dear customers! If you are planning to visit during the next fortnight please note:

The C107 road at Abbey St Bathans Bridge (the bridge just before the new village hall) will be closed for repair work to be undertaken.

Closure dates 18.00 on the 30th January to 18.00 on the 13th February 2022 - 24 hour per day closure. The only access to Abbey St Bathans will be via Preston/Duns!

Dear customers, we will be closed for the holiday period and reopen on Monday 10 January. Storm Arwen has caused a lot of damage with around one quarter of Abbey Timber's woodland down. A little break from the hustle and bustle of keeping up with orders will hopefully give some space to come up with ways to deal with all the fallen trees. We wish you all a Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year and thank you for your continued support!

Dear customers! Due to Covid19 we are currently operating with a skeleton staff. For everyone's safety the timber yard is closed to the public and essential visits are by prior arrangement only. Orders can be collected from the collection area by the gate. You can pay by bank transfer or card over the phone. The office is closed but I am working from home and you can reach me as usual by phone or email between 8am and 12noon, Mon-Fri. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!
