Hello, I haven’t been as active on here recently because, like so many of us working in the child behaviour and parenting space, I’ve been incredibly busy supporting families behind the scenes. It’s been a very full on time!

For anyone new here or unsure what I actually do

— I’m a child behaviour consultant of over 15 years with a backgroundin child psychology. I work 1:1 with parents to understand what’s really going on underneath their child’s behaviour and help them respond in ways that are calm, confident and effective.

Behaviour is communication. When children are struggling — whether that’s with big emotions, meltdowns, anxiety, aggression, defiance, school issues or general overwhelm — it’s often a sign they don’t yet have the tools to cope with the world around them. I help parents decode that behaviour and put practical, sustainable strategies in place.
This isn’t about blame or “fixing” your child.
It’s about understanding them, supporting their nervous system, and giving you a plan that actually works for your family.

I have a very rare 1:1 behaviour consultation appointment available.
The session is £249 and completely tailored to you, your child and your parenting approach. You’ll leave with a clear, positive and sustainable action plan so you feel calmer, more confident and equipped — and your child feels understood and supported.

It’s ideal for parents of children who are experiencing:

• Frequent meltdowns or emotional outbursts
• Anxiety or school-related struggles
• Aggression or challenging behaviour
• Sleep difficulties
• Sensory overwhelm
• Big transitions or family changes
• Or if you’re simply feeling stuck and unsure what to try next
My diary is fully booked for the rest of the year after this space, so if you’d like support please message me as soon as possible.

You don’t have to navigate this alone 🤍

Parents: remember whilst we get mega excited today and cannot wait to see our little ones faces tomorrow, children can get very overwhelmed at this time of the year. All the build of excitement can overload children's senses and exhaust them so keep a good eye on your little ones and if they seem a bit out of sorts just dial back the excitement a bit and do a calming activity.

Tonight start bedtime a bit earlier and don't over excite them. They are going to need lots of energy tomorrow to deal with excitement, likely a lack of their usual routine and often a late bedtime when they are over tired so try and get them to bed early and calmly tonight and don't be scared to give them a mid morning nap tomorrow (no matter what their age) if they are up super early. Those who use gro clocks stick with the continuity of it (you'll thank me for that tomorrow when they've slept well still)

Above all have a fantastic day and allow your children to set the pace with what their comfortable with ###

The under the tree pictures have started and I just wanted to quickly post to reassure and put your mind at ease.

If you've bought your kids a million presents that's ok no one is judging but if you've only bought your child a present or 2 or maybe even none no one is judging you either least of all your children.

Children won't remember how many presents they had under the tree, in fact too many presents is likely to overwhelm them and cause more meltdowns tomorrow.

What children are going to need and remember tomorrow is your calm presence, your love, your undivided attention once the dinners cooked, your one to one eye to eye conversation, you putting their needs above their wants (e.g. if they need a nap put them down for a nap, if they need some fresh air or a run around outside take them, if they need less candy and some carbs to balance out the sugar make sure they get what they need to keep their body and mind relaxed)

Christmas day doesn't often run like it does in the movies, children are out of routine, over excited and full of sugar and often around mid morning this catches up with them big time (tip give them a carb or protein rich snack if they start to get tetchy, don't make them wait for lunch if they can't)
Expect chaos and you'll get through it much happier than expecting the movie scene. Listen to their needs, try and maintain some normality and don't be scared to take them somewhere calm to chill out if they (or you) need it.

Build the memories not the present pile and take enjoyment in all the little wonderful moments rather than worry about the overall day :-)

Merry Christmas everyone xx

If you have a child who loves space
If you have a child that lacks confidence
If you have a child who feels 'different' or 'less than' or struggles or has hopes and dreams they feel are impossible, please please go and follow the wonderful Emily Calandrelli account.

She will be the 100th woman to go to space this Friday, she's incredible, she has an amazing YouTube channel all about science, she's a huge supporter of getting girls into STEM and a massive supporter of all kids and she just has such a great personality and outlook that kids are naturally drawn to her.

She shows kids that anything is possible.
She also shows kids (and girls in particular) that is anything is possible while being completely, authentically yourself.

And her channel is well worth a look and for any space mad kids, you can watch her launch live into space on Friday too!

** lots of your kids might already know who she is as she had a super popular science programme on netflix too!

Give her a follow, she's fab and we wish you all the luck in the world for your trip on Friday Emily! 🩷

⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
GROUP ANNOUNCEMENT
⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

Hello I am still receiving lots of emails and messages daily about booking in 1:1 child behaviour consultations. So many I just don't have the time to answer due to being so busy with my clients too.

Unfortunately I, like most professionals now, am fully booked.

My next soonest appointment is March :-(

I'm so sorry. I don't even have anyone I can pass you over to as everyone is fully booked.

Sadly the NHS and CAMHS wait lists are running at 3-5 years and this means many parents have been forced to turn to private services and professionals like myself meaning that our waitlists are also growing every day.

It's an awful situation for parents and children who need help now.

To try and help parents even as they are on waitlists or better still to help and prevent problems or get solid strategies in place to stop them before they escalate I do have an online parenting membership site.

This is filled with courses and practical advice on multiple topics of child psychology and behaviour from

✅️ Sleep
✅️ School refusal
✅️ Weaning
✅️ Sibling rivalry
✅️ Sensory issues
✅️ ADHD
✅️ Anxiety
✅️ Bonding

Etc. It covers from newborn right through to late teens and has bitezise segments with insight into behaviour and strategies and methods to build a calm and loving environment and bond with your child.

It's all based on my 20 years + experience working in the child psychology & behaviour sector sector.

In the run up to Christmas to help you and your family I am opening enrollment into the parenting membership for F.R.E.E

If you'd like to receive the link to join for free when I re open it please pop your name below and I will contact you with the link to join.
