It’s been a mix of emotions today in the office as we say farewell to our Office Manager Lianne Siberry!

Lianne has been a credit to us all, the one who kept everything and everyone on track and the go-to person for just about everything. Her hard work, sense of humour and no- nonsense attitude will be hugely missed by all of us. We would like to thank you for all your loyalty, time and effort these past 8 years.

Wishing you all the best as you head into retirement. Enjoy every second you’ve earned it!

At 9.18pm on Friday 28th March we were acquired by Environmental Essentials Ltd. We don’t anticipate much change for our loyal clients; only a wider service offering and better geographical coverage (letters and mtgs to follow).

Gary exits with the fondest fairwell (thank you for everything Gary).

Steve Hubery and Craig Johnston remain in key management roles within EE.

We're hiring trainee’s AGAIN at Omega Asbestos Consulting Ltd

Another year of continued growth (2024) means we’ve been able to qualify the trainees we took on in Spring 2023. All are now p402 qualified surveyors who continue to work for Omega.

Their training has seen them learn and develop from various mentors on sites from the worlds of Telecommunications, Petrochemical, NHS, Retail, Manufacturing and Acadamy Schools.

The x2 lads we hired locally in the North East (2023) both left jobs to make this career change and have not looked back. More than that, they are both very important and well respected members of our 40 strong team.

Maybe you could be next?

We are offering trainee positions for asbestos surveyors and analysts; from our Durham HQ but would also consider applicants for our Yorkshire and Midlands Regional Teams.

Each trainee will be pushed through a 12-18 month programme (you will determine the progression speed) and x3 qualifications; by the end of which will see them become an Asbestos Consultant and an expert in their field.

Significant pay rises will be awarded as qualifications are obtained and audits passed throughout the year - some of our dual qualified guys in this role are taking home north of £40k per yr.

For now; all that’s needed is a great attitude and work ethic along with the ability to drive, use a hand held phone/pda and be clean shave to wear RPE. Some flexibility to work away and/or unsociable hours (for hospitals / retail) will also be required as our two men teams look to service both regional and national contracts.

It's been tough to keep this one quiet!

Welcome Dave Cooper (Contracts Director) to Omega Asbestos Consulting Ltd.

20 years with one company (through numerous acquisitions) and having elevated himself to the highest of levels within our industry (within the largest organisation), tells you everything you need to know about the man we've hired and the future benefits Omega will obtain.

Last Friday; Omega Asbestos Consulting Ltd welcomed x88 clients and suppliers to the 1st Omega Annual Golf Day (hopefully the 1st of many) - held at the prestigious Castle Eden Golf Club.

On the golf: x22 teams battled it out and the feedback we’ve had on the course, the event and the format has been wonderful to hear/read – so thank you again for that. It was also lovely to see some good weather, at the 4th attempt 😊.
