Now that holiday season is upon us remember the 2p trick. To determine if your freezer has defrosted, freeze a glass of water and place a coin on top of the ice. If the coin is still on top when you get back, your freezer stayed frozen, and your food is likely safe. If the coin has sunk to the bottom or is embedded in the ice, it indicates the freezer thawed and refroze, potentially compromising food safety

Happy New Year to all our friends and customers. We’re not back until next month but this is our yearly reminder to brush up those pine needles from real trees and don’t vacuum. We no longer repair vacuums, but when we did we’d be pulling pine needles out until Easter. Once they get stuck in the tubes everything else backs up and you don’t realise until the vacuum stops picking up.

Although we are no longer doing vacuum repairs, we have had an increase in people looking for Shark vacuums to be repaired. Please remember Shark comes with a five year warranty. If in doubt it is always worth giving Shark Customer Services a call. We’ve been told they are very helpful.

Now that we’re taking our trees down, please do remember to brush up those pine needles! The biggest cause of blocked vacuums in the Spring is a build up of dust caused by needles stuck in the tubes. Unfortunately we no longer repair vacuum cleaners, but in the past we were seeing them well into April for repair.
