Andrew Hignett, flying high into post retirement life!

Andrew’s working life did anything, but stop once he retired from Hy-Line Uk Ltd in 2007. On 18th May 2007 a retirement Party was held for Andrew at Billesley Manor, Andrew and his wife Brenda arrived by helicopter, over 100 guest’s the majority from poultry industry were in attendance. Following this just a few days later, Andrew turned 65 and held another big party at his home for friends and family with 150 people.

Just a few short days later from officially celebrating retiring, Andrew founded Custom Poultry Services. A company which provided poultry insight and expertise, representing two highly reputable brands within the industry: Tecno Italy and Moba Netherlands. This was a demonstration of Andrews character, his inability to give up his love and passion for Agriculture and the industry as a whole. As his new business CPS grew and more resource was needed, RSB Group was founded which has two divisions Poultry and Construction, RSB Poultry a re-brand of Custom poultry services.

RSB Poultry has continued with year on year growth and now represent a multitude of brands including: Tecno Aviary Systems; Cobot Robotic Automation; Hedi Pack Egg printers; Ovotherm R-PET Egg Packaging; Anpario Feed Additives; Moba Farm Packers.

Andrew continues to further his experience and knowledge across the sector staying up to date with all the recent changes within the industry through regular involvement at key industry events from the International Egg Commision conferences Plus many discussion groups. Andrew is still Chairman Chief executive Central Egg Agency also Director NEMAL (National Egg Marketing Association Ltd).

For all those who know Andrew on a personal level and many of those who have had the pleasure of working alongside or for him, know that Andrew’s working life is far from over. For when that day does come, no doubt his passion, ambition & determination will be thrown into something else.
