This Samsung heat pump dryer was heavily blocked with internal fluff build-up, restricting airflow and affecting drying performance.

Many people clean the filters but don’t realise fluff can accumulate deeper inside the appliance over time.

Dishwasher not heating? 🌡️

This dishwasher had lost its ability to heat water, resulting in poor wash performance and dishes coming out less than clean. After diagnosis, a faulty heating element was identified and replaced.

Appliance tested and confirmed heating correctly before departure. ✅

🚨 Leak found and repaired! 🚨

This integrated Whirlpool washing machine was leaking from the detergent dispenser assembly. After some investigation, the fault was traced to the rear grating section of the dispenser drawer where water was escaping during use.

A direct replacement without grating wasn’t available, but I managed to source a similar dispenser assembly. Unfortunately it wasn’t a straight swap and required a bit of engineering and modification to accommodate this particular machine. After carefully adapting the replacement part, the leak was successfully eliminated.

Appliance tested and left operating correctly with no further leaks detected. ✅

Sometimes the best repair isn’t simply replacing parts – it’s finding a practical solution that keeps a customer’s appliance running and saves them money.

Another extractor hood replacement completed!

The original extractor had developed a fault and, due to the age of the appliance and cost of repair, replacement was the more economical option.

A new CDA chimney hood was supplied and installed, with the existing setup requiring additional modification work to the kitchen panel to allow the new extractor to be fitted correctly and finished neatly.

✔️ Fault diagnosed
✔️ New extractor supplied
✔️ Old extractor removed and disposed of
✔️ New CDA chimney hood installed
✔️ Kitchen panel modified and refitted
✔️ Tested and confirmed working correctly

Not every installation is a straightforward swap-over. Sometimes additional work is required to achieve a safe, secure and professional finish, but it’s always worth taking the time to do the job properly.

When a “quick DIY repair” turns into a tumble dryer jigsaw puzzle 🧩👨‍🔧

This dryer had already been stripped down before we arrived, after a repair attempt didn’t quite go to plan.

We were asked to rebuild it, check everything over, and make sure it was safely back together before testing.

Thankfully, all the mystery screws found a home and the dryer lived to fight another day ✅

This one had a bit of everything:

🔧 IKEA extractor hood diagnostics — slow to start and causing back draft issues
🔧 Beko washing machine — inlet hose replaced on the dispenser drawer
🔧 Lamona washing machine — door handle replaced
🔧 Built-in microwave diagnostics — blowing the high voltage fuse
🔧 Multi-appliance visit — Samsung fridge filter replaced, oven fan element replaced, and Siemens warming drawer diagnosed due to the door not registering closed

Another few jobs completed recently 👨‍🔧⚡

• Dishwasher not heating – diagnosed heating element open circuit.

• Samsung washing machine – replacement door seal fitted after the original had been shredded by a foreign object.

• Samsung commercial microwave showing E42 error - diagnosed to a blown control board fuse, fuse replaced and microwave back fully operational.

• Bosch dishwasher – faulty drain pump replaced and running properly again.

• Double oven & hob with no power – checked appliance supply and consumer unit/RCD board, no faults found with the appliance itself. Advised customer an electrician would be required to investigate the incoming mains supply.

• And probably the most interesting one… a 40+ year old Creda Carefree cooker & hob where one hob plate wouldn’t switch off. Fault traced to the regulator switch. Unfortunately no parts available now due to the age, but very rare to see appliance parts actually stamped “Made in Great Britain” 🇬🇧😂

Always a mix of old and new appliances keeping things interesting!

Curved Glass Extractor Installation – Completed Last Week 🔧

Nice tidy install on a curved glass extractor hood.

Customer wanted a clean, modern finish and a proper upgrade from the old unit — all fitted, secured, and tested with full operation confirmed before leaving.

✔️ Extractor securely mounted
✔️ Electricals connected safely
✔️ Venting checked and working as it should
✔️ Clean finish to suit the kitchen

Another one done and dusted 👍
