Sometimes, the hardest part of workplace safety is addressing unsafe behaviour. Whether it's cutting corners, ignoring procedures, or engaging in horseplay, these actions can have serious consequences.

It's important to have a system in place for addressing these behaviours constructively and ensuring that everyone understands the importance of following safety protocols.

A strong safety culture starts at the top. Leaders must model safe behaviour, prioritise safety training, and empower employees to take ownership of their well-being. When leaders demonstrate a genuine commitment to health and safety, it sends a clear message that it's a core value, not just a requirement.

Unfortunately we have had a number of clients who think that having us attend their workplaces, agree with our observations/recommendations and as soon as we leave completely ignore what's been agreed, they are no longer our clients, yes its income lost but we wont flog a head horse.

Another fantastic response to the HLS Sponsored Sapper Golf day in 2026 at Ripon City Golf Club, all 44 places spoken for already and all wanting to relieve this years winners Scotty Timmons (Net) and Lee Innes (Stableford) of their bragging rights. Always a top day, plenty of banter, bandits and at times some good golf. It's always a pleasure supporting the Captains Charity for us all to give something to those who need assistance and support.
