A huge welcome to these four guys from Brazil! 🇧🇷🇬🇧🙌

They’ve each come from different parts of Brazil after earning a government scholarships to spend time studying here in the UK as part of a school immersion programme.

They’ll be with us until January, getting stuck into school life, experiencing British culture and hopefully making plenty of great memories along the way!

That’s a wrap!

Another academic year has come to an end, and all of our students have now returned home for the summer.

For some, this marks the end of their time in our guardianship as they embark on an exciting new chapter in life. Whether they are returning to their home country to study or work, or remaining in the UK to begin university, we send them our very best wishes for the future. It has been a privilege to be part of their journey.

We are also looking forward to welcoming new students in September as they begin their own journey with us. Since becoming education guardians in 2013, it has been our pleasure to support young people from around the world, and we remain committed to providing the same care and guidance for future students.

One of the most rewarding parts of our work is staying in touch with former students. We are still in contact with many of those we have looked after over the years, and it is always wonderful to hear about their achievements and where life has taken them.

I had the pleasure of taking our final student of the academic year to Heathrow in the very early hours of this morning for his journey home. Our cheeky young man, but such a lovely student who is always great company and liked by everyone who meets him.

Have a fantastic summer, and we look forward to seeing you again in September!

✨ London’s Calling ✨
A unanimous decision was made by our students and London it was! 🇬🇧 From the colourful streets of Chinatown to the buzz of Leicester Square and the shops of Oxford Street, we packed plenty into one day before ending our adventure with a bus ride to Victoria. A perfect day in the capital. ❤️🏙️🚍

As an educational guardian, we often take on many roles for parents who are thousands of miles away — becoming the local parent here in the UK.

This week alone, I’ve been helping one student find a suit for his prom and another get a laptop ready for school.

Sometimes it’s also the simple things that matter most — encouraging students to get a haircut before returning to school, helping them stay organised, confident, and prepared.

It’s all part of the support we provide, and it’s what we do.

Yesterday’s heatwave turned into a full-scale water pistol battle at our home! 💦😂

It started with just two students having a little water fight, but before long more joined in until nearly everyone was involved, six different nationalities from three different schools.

I sensibly locked myself in the office while Nympha hid in the house, and we supervised the madness from a safe distance 😂

Thankfully it was all safe fun, everyone had an amazing time, and they definitely cooled off! One of those unforgettable hot summer days ☀️💧

Lovely afternoon with our students today ☀️
With the weather being so good, we had our first BBQ of the year — and Mama Nympha absolutely did us proud with her homemade marinated chicken kebabs, including some extra spicy ones too 🌶️🍢

The students insisted on playing their music… which I still don’t understand 😂
And we finished the afternoon perfectly with toasted marshmallows around the BBQ 🔥🤍

While we were in town, one of our students bought a water pistol… little did they know I had a couple hidden away already 😎

With the sun shining and temperatures soaring, there was only one thing for it… WATER FIGHT! 😂💦☀️

A lovely afternoon visit to Eastbourne with some of our students today. These students come from two different schools and four different countries, yet they all get on so well together. It’s wonderful to see such positive friendships forming across cultures. They even managed to persuade me to join them in singing a Michael Jackson song on the way 😂

Tonight starts the May Half Term as we welcome some of our guardian students to stay with us over the break. 🌍

This half term we are delighted to host students from Hong Kong, Vietnam, Oman, Kenya, Spain, India, Australia and Nigeria.

With the sunshine set to continue, it should be a fantastic week full of new friendships, experiences and memories! ☀️🇬🇧
