H-W Tree Surgeons Ltd consist of several teams of highly professional and qualified tree surgeons and groundsmen with certifications in all aspects of tree surgery and chainsaw use, chemical spraying, waste management, and safety. We have been operating for over 20 years in both the commercial and domestic

sectors. All of our operatives work to a high professional standard with a polite and positive attitude towards both our work and our clients. We have 10 million pounds public liability insurance and are a CHAS accredited company. We also maintain a profile on Checkatrade to allow our customers to leave honest and impartial feedback. We possess all relevant HSE policies, complete risk and method statements, and our operatives are trained in emergency first aid in the workplace + forestry as standard. We are able to complete all aspects of tree surgery from small assignments to ongoing maintenance programs, our services include, but are not limited to; removal, section fells, shaping and crown lifts, pollarding, dead wooding, reductions, stump grinding, eco plugging, hedge cutting and emergency call outs. We carry out all aspects of landscaping works including, but not limited to; grounds maintenance, fencing and repairs, patios, decking, and garden clearance

🌳 H-W Tree Surgeons recently completed ash dieback tree works at a barn conversion property in Hampshire.

The project involved reducing a large overhanging ash tree above the building, along with the removal of several ash stems affected by ash dieback disease.

An access platform was used to safely carry out the work while protecting the surrounding buildings and garden areas. All waste timber and brash removed from site, leaving the area clean and tidy on completion. ✅

H-W Tree Surgeons used their combined skills in tree work and ecology to help bring the Kings Pond Rejuvenation Project to life alongside Alton Town Council.

The tree work, carried out over approximately four weeks, focused on the removal of a number of lapsed willow trees from around the pond perimeter and the southern island. This work is expected to improve water circulation and help reduce excessive silt build-up in the southern section of the pond. It will also improve access to new foraging habitats for birds, bats and fish, as well as provide clearer views across the pond.

H-W Tree Surgeons made significant efforts to engage with local residents and take their feedback into account throughout the project. Care was taken to promote ecological diversity, and existing nesting and foraging habitats were protected wherever possible. All work was completed before 1st March, with all environmental regulations and legal requirements fully observed.

Additional work was also carried out to remove invasive species, although ongoing management will be required to prevent them from returning.

🌳 Another great job by H-W Tree Surgeons 🌳

Our team recently reduced one side of a mature oak tree overhanging a childminder’s property after branches and acorns were falling onto the house.

Permission under a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) was sought but initially declined. Following an appeal, the decision was successfully overturned and the work was completed safely and professionally.

We’re experienced in handling TPO applications and specialise in tree work near homes and buildings.

H-W Tree Surgeons using the latest tech. The Robo Mulcher is a cutting edge; remotely controlled machine, used for land clearing and vegetation management.
Here we used it to quickly clear overgrown bushes and grass outside a playground, with a much shorter closure. The children were back on the swings in no time.

H-W Tree Surgeons also provide skilled gutter clearing services. We used a crane to access difficult to reach gutters over the roof of an industrial unit.
If gutters are not professionally cleared, plant growth can cause roof damage, damp and blocked drains. These can be expensive to repair.

Ash dieback is a fungal disease that kills up to 80% of Ash trees across the UK.
The tree was in such poor condition the roof needed to be scaffolded to protect the house. Look out for the reel of the felling.

***WE ARE HIRING***

We are currently looking for hard working, reliable operatives to join our Tree surgery & grounds maintenance company on a self-employed basis initially.

Immediate start with good rates of pay for the right candidates.

Currently hiring:

- Experienced grounds maintenance operatives & labourers.

Skills in grass cutting (mowing and strimming) and hedge cutting are preferred and certification in spraying (PA1/PA6) would be an advantage. However, for applicants who have a good work ethic training can be provided and young motivated individuals are encouraged to come in for a trial day. Please note, these are very physical and labour-intensive roles.

Based near Marwell, working day is approximately 7am – 3:30pm.

Applicants must have a clean driving license, a highly self-motivated attitude and be reliable with good time keeping.

Suitable applicants will be invited to attend a paid trial day to demonstrate their abilities and see how they fit in the team.
