My story began when I arrived in Scotland from Slovakia, searching for purpose and a passion. After an accident left me with some serious injuries, a physio suggested I take up some form of physical work to help my recovery. After a dizzying initiation on my first day, 60 feet up a tree… a profound passion was sparked in me, and my arboreal journey began. In the beginning, I was more ‘Bark Bumbler
’ than ‘Tree Titan’. I had my share of ‘timber’ moments, usually followed by a rapid, surprise descent. Nature presented me with some humbling reminders – not all of them gentle. But the tallest trees have the strongest roots. Taking lessons to heart, I cultivated my skills. With each climb, confidence grew. The once-imposing trees became familiar friends. A foundation of experience and hard work began to solidify, providing the support I needed to truly thrive in this craft. Eventually, my reputation began to take root, growing organically. It was a hard-earned trust, built from the ground up, with my number being shared not as a cautionary tale but as a recommendation. I emerged as a trusted professional in my field through the thicket of challenges and the canopy of learning. It was during this time that I met my partner, Laura. Laura joined my side, providing invaluable support behind the scenes. With this support and her strategic thinking, the company blossomed in ways that would have been difficult for a ‘solopreneur.’
