When you think about making brand awareness for your business on social media for the first time, you might think it is just posting something related to your business and that’s it. Well, it’s way more complicated 😳
One of the important things to bear in mind is the frequency, consistency and engagement of the posts. Even the time you upload your posts is important, did you know that? 😧
That is why these apps to schedule and even manage your social media are great tools to improve your engagement with your customers. Hootsuite, Planoly, Later or Buffer, just to name a few, are some of the most common ones. Their main goal is to let you decide when you would like to publish your posts and you can schedule a lot of them, even for the entire month 📆
Each of them offers you different features so you can choose which one suits you better. For example, with Hootsuite you can manage comments, reactions and statistics all through the app (paid option). Later allows you to see how your Instagram feed will look like before you post and Buffer suggests the most suitable times for you to post to each of your networks. This time we’ll give you some great recommendations about how to choose your colour palette 🖍 and yes, it is REALLY IMPORTANT. As we told you before, consistency is key for your brand, and the colours you use on your posts, for example, will affect how your feed looks like.
First things first: choose a colour for your brand depending on what you what to transmit to your customer 🤍 Each colour means something so check this out to choose one, or if you already have one because it’s your favourite just double check that it’s the right one for your brand.

So it’s happening, you started your own business! Now you need to start some brand awareness and of course, the best way is social media. LinkedIn is an amazing tool when you need a lot of networking, however, to create a business page in LinkedIn you need to have a personal profile.
Do you already have one? Does it look professional? Not quite sure? So open it up and check out these tips to assess how professional does your personal LinkedIn profile looks like...
1- Profile Photo: don’t use a selfie or a picture with a low resolution. You don’t need to pay for a photoshoot session, with the amazing cameras on the phones nowadays you can take really professional pictures. Look online for tips on how to do properly.
2- Background Photo: what do you want to express to your customers how do you want them to look at you... Successful, truthful, empowered... It doesn’t need to be a picture of yourself, it could be taken from a photo bank but make sure it does express the right message.
3- Personalise the URL for your profile: when you provide your URL it looks more professional to say for instance “www.linkedin.com/in/adelaidediasbolivar” than “www.linkedin.com/in/adelaide123456789”. LinkedIn assigns them randomly so it’s your decision to edit it or not. Go to your profile and do it!
4- Headline Information: it doesn’t need to be your current or your last position, it could be your stronger skills, your main goal, mention your core industry, keywords to optimise the search. Also, use the bar “ | “ to separate different phrases or keywords.
5- Experience and information: the more the better but it doesn’t need to be since you were in high school, focus on your main duties and responsibilities and all the activities you have done that support your current job.

Also, with all the COVID situation (all the family at home while home working, homeschooling, etc), the developers have improved the app in the past months.
Because of that, we just want to give you an update and share with you some of the new cool features you can find in Zoom and might be quite useful for your next online work meeting 👩🏻‍💻
- Filters: you can make some of your friends laugh with a pirate patch or a horn unicorn using the new filters
- Lightning adjustments: low light, brightness or even smooth your skin are including now
- Noise cancellation: dog, barking, kids playing... All the common noises at home can be reduced thanks to this new feature
- PowerPoint presentation as a background: you have to option to choose between different backgrounds but if you want to point out something really important on a slide you can put it as a background and overlay your video on the front!

How many times have you stop yourself before doing something just because you think “and what if.... (a bad thing)”? Did you lose the count? Yes, A LOT!!
So we’ll share with you our little secret 🤫 We always think: “If others can make it, why I couldn’t?” and after that, we just jump into it 🪂
Not everything is bad, that’s the worst way to start. Think about it as a challenge, about showing yourself what you are capable of and, why not 🤷🏻‍♀️ show to the world that YOU CAN MAKE IT... To those who didn’t believe in you, yell them how proud of yourself you are 💪🏼
So yes, try every day something that scares you and no, it doesn’t need to be skydiving or swimming with sharks 🦈 It could be, for example, trying to cook fried chicken (because I hate hot oil and It scares me) so I’ll dare myself 😬
