For most of my working life, my career was in the corporate world in financial services as a mortgage consultant. Married twice, divorced twice, two grown up children and five grandchildren.
I had a break from this for several years , when I was offered a job as a mortgage consultant on the Costa Del Sol helping ex pats buy their dream holiday homes. It was a fantastic job, sunshine every day an
d finished work at 5pm just in time for a jug of sangria round the pool. I was divorced, both my children grown up, although they were not happy about me leaving , they were doing their own thing and now I was putting myself first.. So, one wet gray day in Edinburgh, I threw all my worldly goods into my car and I was off.
We did not see the financial crash coming in 2010. The Spanish banks stopped lending and we all had to move back to the UK as we had no business.
I arrived back in January and had no choice but to move in with my son, stoney broke, and it was so cold I could have cried. After being made redundant several times, the final straw was the death of my dad who was my rock. I woke up one morning and I was so sick and tired of being sick and tired I decided that I was going to take control of my life. I was going to find a new purpose in life, retrain as a life coach and help other men and women turn their lives around.
I decided the one thing I really enjoyed was helping people solve their problems and decided to retrain as a life coach and help other people to live their life’s purpose to the fullest. As a professional qualified transformational life coach, I work with men and women who want more from their lives.
