Congratulations you just joined a new team as an Agile Coach. Here're some tips to consider:
1: Observe, listen and empathise.
2: Donβt be directive or suggestive.
3: Pay more attention to details.
4: Bring more clarity. People like an environment where they see things important to them.
5: Spot a complexity. Let them know what to do when they find it.
6: Respect people, ideas and their contribution to the software or process.
7: Build a personal relationship with your teams and donβt rush.
8: Ask what and how questions, not why questions e.g. Why this is missing or why that is not part of the process?
Ask them more powerful questions e.g.
What culture do you want to see in your teams?
How would you like to have the right piece of information at the right time?
How do you imagine an ideal software or process youβre working with?
What would you want to achieve in next couple of months?
How would you like to have the feedback in place and how often?
