See, growth isnโ€™t this comfortable, miraculous
thing. It can get ugly, it can get confusing. Itโ€™s gritty, itโ€™s hard. Itโ€™s difficult to confront yourself sometimes; itโ€™s difficult to be the person who does things differently, ๐’˜๐’‰๐’ ๐’…๐’๐’†๐’”๐’โ€™๐’• ๐’”๐’†๐’•๐’•๐’๐’†.

But itโ€™s the greatest gift you will ever give yourself. It will push you towards figuring out what your own personal version of happiness looks like; and when you grow on your own terms, when you figure out what actually matters to you, and when you carve out your own path, you live on your own terms. You love on your own terms.

You become the person you have always wanted to be, rather than the person you were always told to be, and that is beautiful. Because when it comes down to it, life is about making yourself proud on your own terms.

โ€œJust Let them.

If they want to choose something or someone over you, LET THEM.

If they want to go weeks without talking to you, LET THEM.

If they are okay with never seeing you, LET THEM.

If they are okay with always putting themselves first, LET THEM.

If they are showing you who they are and not what you perceived them to be, LET THEM.

If they want to follow the crowd, LET THEM.

If they want to judge or misunderstand you, LET THEM.

Look at these two strawberries, one is ripe happy and juicy looking, the other one is going off, mouldy, horrible and nasty.

When the 2 come too close together the bad strawberry turns the good one bad. This is what happens when you let negative nasty people too close, they ruin your juicy, happy vibe.

Moral of the story is surround yourself with happy juicy strawberries for that happy, juicy life and positive vibes.

Itโ€™s not about the quantity of people in your circle but more about the quality.

Yes you, stop being unhappy with yourself, you are perfect. Stop wishing you looked like someone else or wishing people liked you as much as they like someone else. Stop trying to get attention from those who hurt you.

๐’๐ญ๐จ๐ฉ ๐ก๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐›๐จ๐๐ฒ. Stop hating your face, your personality, your quirks. ๐‹๐จ๐ฏ๐ž ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฆ! Without these things you wouldnโ€™t be you and why would you want to be anyone else?

Be confident with who you are. Smile! Itโ€™ll draw people in. My happiness will not depend on others anymore. Iโ€™m happy because I love who I am. I love my flaws, I love my imperfections as they make me me.

10 THINGS TIME HAS TAUGHT ME

1. Most of our life is spent chasing false goals and worshipping false ideals. The day you realise that is the day you really start to live.

2. You really, truly cannot please all of the people all of the time. Please yourself first and your loved ones second, everyone else is busy pleasing themselves anyway, trust me.

3. Fighting the ageing process is like trying to catch the wind. Go with it, enjoy it. Your body is changing, but it always has been. Donโ€™t waste time trying to reverse that, instead change your mindset to see the beauty in the new.

4. Nobody is perfect and nobody is truly happy with their lot. When that sinks in you are free of comparison and free of judgement. Itโ€™s truly liberating.

5. No one really sees what you do right, everyone sees what you do wrong. When that becomes clear to you, you will start doing things for the right reason and you will start having so much more fun.

6. You will regret the years you spent berating your looks, the sooner you can make peace with the vessel your soul lives in, the better. Your body is amazing and important but it does not define you.

7. Your health is obviously important but stress, fear and worry are far more damaging than any delicious food or drink you may deny yourself. Happiness and peace are the best medicine.

8. Who will remember you and for what, become important factors as you age. Your love and your wisdom will live on far longer than any material thing you can pass down. Tell your stories, they can travel farther than you can imagine.

9. We are not here for long but if you are living against the wind it can feel like a life-sentence. Life should not feel like a chore, it should feel like an adventure.

10. Always, always, drink the good champagne and use the things you keep for โ€˜bestโ€™. Tomorrow is guaranteed to no one. Today is a gift thatโ€™s why we call it the present. Eat, Drink and Be Merry!
