Do you back up your Microsoft 365 account?

When we ask this question to people most of them say:

“No, Microsoft do that for me!”

“I don’t need to worry about it”.

Microsoft operates a shared responsibility model.

You are responsible for the data within the software (SharePoint, One Drive, Outlook etc) and they are responsible for ensuring the data and infrastructure is secure within the data centre.

On the 1st of February, we sold the domain name and hosting arm of our business (BCS-Hosting) to HostPresto to allow BCS to focus more on our website development side of the business https://BCS-Studio.com and our Microsoft Modern Workplace (IT services) divisions https://BCS.Solutions.

Following feedback from the domain and hosting customers we are extremely pleased that it has been a smooth transition for most customers and that we have been able to find them a good new home from one of the UK’s leading hosting providers. Again, we would like to thank all our domains and hosting customers; we had a great working relationship with many of them for close to a decade. We know you are in good hands going forward.

BCS will be placing a focus on cloud partnerships with Microsoft and AWS and our key divisions, IT services and website development.

- Cloud Partnerships: we will be focusing on delivering tailored solutions to businesses of all sizes to optimise the cost and speed of the required specification. This ranges from Live Streaming solutions for events too large data applications and scalable solutions.

- IT Services: we will be focusing on providing top-level IT support for businesses with Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace packages and custom solutions in Microsoft Azure to match customers’ business needs with increased productivity, reliability and security.

- Web development and support: Our web development side will continue to provide support to our managed WordPress customers ensuring their websites are backed up regularly, and updated each month, keeping the website secure as possible whilst also being on hand to develop new sites or sections for customers.
