A Little Assistance

This is my front door. It didn’t always look like this. Until this weekend, when I got the paint brush out, it was an ugly, dirty white UPVC door. I love it now, but blimey it’s been some wait!

Painting the front door has been on my low priority to-do list forever. I’ve literally been meaning to do it for years! I’m someone that loves to get stuff done rather than see things fester on a to-do list, but I do keep a low priority list for those things without a deadline which I can dip in and out of when I have free time (yeah, right!) or just feel the urge to take on a project.

Just remember, if you’re going to put things like painting the front door on your list, just make sure to split up your lists into priority so you can deal with your low priority list when you have the bandwidth, rather than distracting you away from the really important things that need done. The last thing you need is more pressure to do more things you don’t have time for!

It’s Monday morning and the overwhelm of all the things we need to do is very real. One suggestion is to break down your to-do list into manageable chunks. Pull out the urgent ones. The ones that must be done today, and just do them. Don’t try to do it all. If your list is in your head, try to write it down or use a reminder app. Once it’s out of your head it’s a lot easier to manage and prioritise.

It’s always tempting to ignore the brown envelopes. Normally nothing good arrives in a brown envelope, but if you want to vote at the next election and you’ve recently moved house or have a family member become eligible since last year, you need to update the electoral register. Don’t let this one get caught up in the pile of leaflets and marketing letters. If nothing’s changed since last year then there’s no action to take. It could be the easiest letter you open this year, but don’t wait until it’s too late to find out.

Summer is over and Autumn is the season of reflection. This is a great time to get a full picture of all the things you need to do in the next few months and plot them out with timelines and priorities. This will make everything feel a lot more manageable and less overwhelming. I’ll be back with the next steps once you have your list of tasks together.

It’s Tuesday, my least favourite day of the week. But not today! I’m delighted to share a new ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review. I worked with the client on digital decluttering over 2 sessions and I’m delighted she’s already seeing the benefits and working more efficiently.
