What fun rituals do you have?

We all have moments of vulnerability and we all have moments when we need external support to thrive. That's my opinion based on my experience.

Looking at my baby boy who gets shy when there are lots of people around and so confident when I am behind him or when I hold him, and at my daughter who comes to me for support when she gets hurt or at bed time while being extremely confident and outspoken the rest of the time, got me thinking that as humans we need connection with others. As humans, we're not build to be alone and do everything alone.

This is the reason why so many of us choose to hire a coach and/or a mentor.

With my clients, I love it when I am there to hold space for them to process what they are going through, and I love it when then they go off and do what they need to do without running every thought or action past me.

That's because my clients trust their intuition, and they know I am there to guide them when they feel vulnerable, stuck or there is something they can't figure out quickly on their own.

They don't come to me because they are lost without me, they come to me because they feel drawn to me, because I am the 'instrument' their Higher Selves choose for communicating with them at present.

What kind of support have you hired recently?

I think it was Gabby Bernstein's book 'It May Cause Miracles' that sparked this idea in me. Or maybe it was the numerologist I worked with this year, who is using prayer as a tool for pretty much everything he needs help with. Or both :).

A few months ago I started saying a short prayer before my client calls, asking the Divine to communicate through me whatever the other person needed to hear/learn.

I found that, by doing that, two things happened :
1. My level of trust in the Divine and in myself increased.
2. I detached from the result of the call and trusted that whatever the person was ready to hear, they would hear. I no longer felt that the person had to be or do something if they weren't ready for it.

I tend to do the same with the sales calls because that's where I usually feel more attachment.

It is normal to want the prospect client to say yes to working with us.

However, it might not be the right time for them, or for you, for whatever reason. So, what I do now is pray that the result of the call is for the highest good of both myself and the other person.

This allows me to detach from the outcome of the call, and focus on being there and just serving the person to the best of my abilities. It also feels empowering for me and for them because I am no longer led by the fear of the sale. I no longer think "Oh, I hope they'll say yes. I really need them to say yes". Instead, I trust that if it's the right thing at the right time for both, it will happen.

The "Why didn't you buy" launch email sequence

I know, you are so happy to welcome your new clients/students that you may forget about the other people on your list...the ones that haven’t purchased... YET!

I encourage you to send them 2-3 emails after the launch has finished asking them why they didn’t buy. Here's my recommendation, which is a variation of the feedback sequence by Ryan Levesque, that I also used with my clients:

🗸 Email 1: ask why they didn't buy. I personally don't like the "Do you hate me" subject line that many people use. You can use lines like "Did I not explain it right" or "I’d love your feedback"...you want a powerful enough subject line so that people open the email, but soft enough so that it is acceptable to you and your audience.

Don’t overthink this email. I know many people find it scary to write such an email. Just think that you are writing to your mate asking her why she didn’t purchase your offer:
..was it that you didn’t explain it well?..maybe the timing wasn’t right?..something else?

You want to know so that you can improve your next launch. This is very valuable information and you will find that your subscribers will tell you.

And their answers might not be what you think!

🗸 Email 2: FAQ. Use the info you gathered through Email 1 to answer those objections in this email. You can also choose to do the FAQ in a webinar. And, if the context is right, you can open registration for 24 hours.

🗸 Email 3: ask non-buyers what topics they're interested in hearing about from you so that you make sure to send them emails that are relevant to them.

Do you send any such feedback requests to your non-buyers?

Your launch ended successfully and now it's time to welcome your new clients/students.

Have you got an Onboarding email sequence? I also call this the Buyer Sequence.

What you want is to deliver a beautiful customer experience. The look of it will depend on what they have purchased. For example, if you sold them a course, then you will have a:

Welcome email - where they receive confirmation of payment, summary of what they purchased, and some beautiful words from you…
An email with their login details and how to access the course platform.

Just make them feel special for having purchased from you!

Also known as the Sales Email Sequence or Promotional Sequence, the Launch Sequence is essentially a series of emails that you send to your (hopefully) warm list where you invite them to purchase your offer (aka your course, 1:1 or group program, etc.).

The goal is to build the bridge between the free content the reader has consumed so far and the offer that you are now promoting. You will want to tell them about your offer, share social proof, benefits, bonuses, overcome objections and, of course, create urgency. With a live launch, there’s usually a time limit to purchasing your offer.

My recommendation is to write most of these emails in advance and update them before sending if needed. If you are doing a re-launch, chances are that you have all these emails written already and you can schedule them ahead of time. Even if it’s your first launch, I suggest that you schedule the first emails in advance to save you time that you can use to answer replies, deliver live content, etc.

Have you heard people talk about the importance of “the know, like and trust” factor for your business?

A Welcome Email Sequence is a brilliant way to build know, like and trust with your new subscriber.

This new subscriber, let’s call her Tara, has no idea who you are, but she’s really interested in what you have to share. That’s why she signed up for your free (or paid) resource.

So it’s your job to tell her who you are, what you do, and ask to learn about her too; about her dreams and her needs. You don’t want just another number, just another email address on your list. You want to build a connection.

The Welcome Sequence is also known as nurture sequence, opt-in sequence or newbie sequence. Essentially, it is a series of automated emails for new subscribers. It means, you can set up a series of beautifully-written emails to go out…
in the right order…
automatically…
…to every single person who opts into your list.

Each person gets ‘special’ treatment from you from the beginning, without you lifting a finger once you’ve put it together.

With the right email service provider, a welcome sequence is very easy to put together. And it helps you create that connection that I was talking about earlier.

See how important this email sequence is?

I’d rather you had a small engaged list than a large one with low open rates (meaning very few people open your emails).

My recommendation is to have a minimum of four (4) emails in your Welcome Sequence, scheduled to go out 2-3 days apart to give your new subscriber time to familiarise themselves with your freebie and to do the ‘homework’ you may have given to them.

Do you have a welcome sequence for new subscribers? How long is it?

Be prepared and do mindset work before, during and after your launch.

Because your mindset and your energy impact the results of your launch!!

Launches are famous for bringing buried unwanted treasure up, especially when you're doing your first launch.

So, instead of constantly checking your bank account and panicking about no sales coming in as soon as you open registration, make sure to build in some non-work activities into your schedule. This will help shift your focus!

Whether it's a daily walk, or a meditation, or a film with the family, doing something that brings you joy and recharges you means that when you come back to your desk to continue your marketing efforts, you're going to bring with you that lovely energy, as opposed to you sitting there and worrying.

Self-doubt will creep up. Instead of looking at everyone else online who talks about their successful launches (and not so much about what happened before they got there) and letting impostor syndrome take hold of you, remember to be gentle with yourself and take imperfect action.

Be yourself and enjoy the ride! Just like life, launching is not so much about the destination, it's about the journey. So choose to enjoy the ride.

Get support, whether it's a launch coach, a mentor, a friend and have some non-work activities built into your daily schedule!

Have you ever fallen ill during the launch of your service or product?

Or maybe you have heard that many entrepreneurs have something happen to them during the launch week, from a mild cold to an illness that keeps them bed-ridden for days?
It has happened to my clients too.

Launches are famous for bringing up our deepest fears and so we attract situations that "confirm" what we can and can't do.

Hence it is desirable that you get yourself support if you can, someone to share the load with or someone to pick you up when you feel like giving up.

Have you experienced such "events" during your launches?

Let's talk about your launch mindset!

Maybe you're about to do your first launch and you are s**t scared.

Or maybe you have done a few launches already, and you just know that somehow you're going to sabotage your launch again.

How do you avoid it?

Let me say this first: the more you launch, the easier it becomes. So don't hang on to your first launch like it's a make it or break it deal.

Secondly: practise AWARENESS.

I think that paying attention in order to be able to recognise the ways in which your current mindset is sabotaging your launches is going to help you with handling these situations.

Observe your brain and how it likes to mess with you - so you can acknowledge when your brain is just being silly vs. something actually being wrong that you need to take action on.

What mindset tip do you use during a launch and could share with us today? I love learning new tools and practices from other people.👇🏼
