Are you a bike-loving climate champion and influencer?

🚲Building on the success of last year's Ride the Change to COP26 (175 riders completing 60-500 miles and raising 5,574 climate action pledges), they are doing it again this year! This time the ride will be from Swansea to London, arriving in early November to hand the COP baton over to Egypt ahead of COP27.

They are pulling together a group of bike-loving climate champions and influencers to join the ride, using the trip to raise action and awareness around positive climate solutions.

Our CEO, Will Richardson, is excited to take part after experiencing extreme FOMO from not taking part last year. He commented that the atmosphere amongst riders’ post-event was electric in Glasgow!

📣 Want to know how to measure your company’s working from home emissions?

We have partnered with Green Element to develop a new methodology to obtain specific information about employees’ working from home patterns and different energy fuel types used.

🏠 The methodology will help organisations capture working from home carbon emissions properly and enable them to prepare in time for imminent regulatory change following COP26.

The measurement process has been designed for organisations of all sizes, as well as environmental professionals.

💡 The process has been piloted across five SMEs to test different approaches and experiences: Bray Leino Events, Don't Cry Wolf, Forster Communications, Montanaro Asset Management, and Leap.

🖥️ The Science Based Targets initiative is holding a free webinar on 24 Aug!

🌍 The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) revealed its new strategy on the 15th July 2020, which involves altering corporate objectives from below 2C to 1.5C above pre-industrial level.

These new changes will be implemented from the 15th of July 2020.

The Webinar will outline:
· Changes to the SBTi criteria
· Updates on Business Ambition for 1.5
· Provide clarity on rollout times and processes
